The Ritz London The Ritz London is a five-star grand dame hotel, established by Cesar Ritz in 1906 and still holding on to the glamour and allure associated with it. William Kent House offers private dining facilities with elegant banquet rooms and suites – perfect for boardroom meetings, receptions, weddings, gala events, lunches, and dinners. With John Williams MBE as the Executive Chef, The Ritz serves sumptuous British cuisine in their Michelin-starred restaurant for breakfast, lunch, or dinner every day. The Rivoli Bar opens daily for drinks from its Art Deco-styled interiors. Dressy attire is recommended here.

We are deeply saddened to confirm the passing of our Head Hall Porter and dear colleague, Michael De Cozar.

Michael was a cherished member of the Hall Porter team and dedicated 53 years of his life to The Ritz London. Throughout his remarkable career, he became a much-loved and familiar face to generations of colleagues and guests alike.

We are profoundly grateful for Michael’s dedication, loyalty, and exceptional service to The Ritz. His warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of working with him, as well as by our many guests who knew and loved him.

Our thoughts are with Michael’s family and loved ones at this difficult time.
