A wonderful start of the week with our local resident, Harneet at our community garden (Markfield Cafe Orchard🍎). We planted 3 apple and 1 plum trees and are looking forward to hosting more such residents in the locality to make our loving park beautiful ☀️

“The Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) is an indispensable part of Haringey.

“From community cohesion and environmental work to public health and welfare, VCS organisations provide vital support to residents, often with limited resources.

“In line with our commitment through the Haringey Deal to work in partnership with our communities, the VCS Action Plan sets out how the council will strengthen and align its support for the VCS sector.

“It responds directly to the priorities identified and focuses on key areas, including funding, coordination and partnership working.

“This is a focused, one-year action plan for 2026-2027, designed to build momentum and strengthen collaboration as we move towards delivering London Borough of Culture 2027.

“I want to extend my sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to shaping these priorities – the Haringey Community Collaborative, our dedicated VCS organisations, fellow councillors and our residents.

“I'm proud to support a more coordinated & collaborative approach through the VCS Action Plan.

"This will strengthen our sector & help deliver real, lasting improvements for residents across Haringey.”

Join us next weekend for markfieldroadfestival and help us celebrate the local area through art, music and discussions.

Lots of kids workshops including craft, music, art and tennis.

Please join us at the cafe on Saturday 13th September at 1pm for the yearly children carnival procession. All children and parents/carers welcome to join. This more this merrier.
