Back in May, we shared that Radio 2 DJ, presenter and author Sara Cox was partnering with us on the launch of our Public House Report, helping to spread the vital message of how important pubs are to their communities.
In an interview with the Metro, Sara said: “My mum ran the Pineapple in Bolton while I was growing up, so pub culture has been a big part of my life.
“These days, pubs aren’t just somewhere to go for a meal or a drink. You can go there to sing, play board games, knit, natter or attend a book club. They are the heart of our communities.”

Following the £300k transformation, we're also delighted to welcome new Management Partner Melanie Clay, who will be leading the pub into its next chapter. 👏🏻
A beautiful refreshment, this pub now boasts a characterful country feel, with new and improved zoning throughout, a distinct bar and snug feel, lounge area with darts as a focal point and a brighter dining space designed for guests to enjoy every occasion.

After an incredibly tense game against DR Congo, it was captain Harry Kane who stepped up when it mattered most, helping to send the Three Lions through.

Team work makes the dream work! 🤩
This week, we proudly reopened the beautiful The Ferry pub in Wallasey after a £230k investment.
What makes this pub so special? It’s the team at its heart. 🫶🏻
For the past eight years, Chris has led the team, who were taken under the wing of our lovely Pub Development Coach, Samantha Andrewartha, for on-board training, cocktail-making and everything in between! 🍹🍻
Speaking about her time there, Sam said: “What a welcome I received when I turned up at The Ferry!
“The team are the most engaging, caring people with so much personality it’s impossible not to love them. They really embraced the sessions, learned new ways of working, asked lots of questions and valued the answers. I truly believe team Ferry will go farther than just the Mersey!”
It’s not like we didn’t know it already, but Sam’s experience at The Ferry is just one example of how, without our wonderful teams, our pubs wouldn’t be the welcoming, vibrant hubs they are today. 💗

Thanks to our fantastic Property Team, a £480k investment has marked the start of an exciting new chapter for The Bramford C**k in Ipswich. 🤩
The beautiful transformation was all about putting the pub back at the heart of its community – creating a warm, welcoming, family-oriented destination that the whole village can be proud of.
Led by new Management Partner, Jenny, the vision was clear: to be a brilliant village local offering outstanding food, friendly service and a great atmosphere, seven days a week – and it’s a big tick all round! ✅
A huge thank you to everyone involved in helping this pub spread its wings once again. It’s an exciting investment and a bright future for Jenny and the team! 🍻

We’re delighted to announce that The Windsor Castle N2 has done it – they are officially the BII’s Licensee of the Year 2026 winners! 🤩👏🏻
An incredible achievement for a fantastic team, led by Eamonn and Arina, who strive each and every day to inspire those moments and deliver five-star service.
When they found out they were finalists, they said: “This award really does mean a lot and will enable us to showcase all our achievements – our passion for hospitality, continued positive growth and development, our amazing team, and, above all else, our commitment to and love of our local community. Without you, we wouldn’t be here.
“In 2022, we took on a small backstreet pub that hadn’t been doing too well. We put our hearts and souls into making it special and made a real effort to connect with the local community. The Windsor Castle is now a much-loved community asset – for the community, with the community at its heart.”
