Due to the rare (and much missed) appearance of the burning ball of fire in the sky we like to call the Sun…we will be opening the van from 12pm everyday until the end of the week.
Come by for cold drinks and freshly made s+dwiches until late.

Behold the sun, the S+D van, the usual wonders and treats both sandwich and drink based….(out of shot but you know they’ll be there somewhere)
Also, behold this ice cold brain freezing good time cup o’joy.

Yeah it’s the S+D Strawberry Milkshake. It involves strawberry softserve, and it is deeply involved in the ‘Being Delicious’ game.

Available for the next few days until that st’berry wonder is gone.

We’re super happy to say that the S+D Go van is back up and doing from tomorrow Thursday 25th May for S+Dwiches, cold drinks and good times on the Square. Come hang out in the sun with us.

We’re very sad to say that the kitchen will be closed at S+D Kings Cross tomorrow, Wednesday 19th April.

We have some vital kit repairs to take care of.

The shop will however be open for drinks and pastries from 9am and we’ll be back in the S+Dwich game on Thursday.

Behold a stalwart, a legend of the genre, a long term hero, the oldest of skools… the Mortadella S+Dwich!

‘Della, taleggio cheese, smoked tomato relish, rocket, Thai basil, cider vinaigrette.

If we were lacking in inspiration we’d probably call it ‘The Godfather’ or something. But fortunately we are not, and it is not (called that). Don’t worry.

Available at both shops all the time, and forever more I would imagine. It’s good. You should eat one.

The Egg S+Dwich in full effect!

Burford Brown eggs, miso mayo, truffle crisps, salad cresses.

Been on since we opened, and will remain so. A true classic of the S+Dwich genre. One to convert all those perhaps troubled by memories of grim versions of an egg based sandwich.

Also JB photographed it down a tunnel of our wrapping paper because a) it looks lovely and b) it doubles as a subtle shout out to Bruce ‘The Boss’ Springsteen’s underrated 1987 album ‘Tunnel Of Love’*

*A real millennial touchstone I’m sure.🤦🏻

Greetings all vegans, vegetarians, humans trying not to eat as much meat and people who are just mad keen on vegetable based sandwiches,

We’d like to introduce you to the new Vegan’wich at S+D

This soon to be legendary example of the animal-free sandwich genre is as follows:

Creamy roasted cauliflower + peppers, vegan cheese, vegan n'duja mayo, Pickled pink onions and coriander.

It’s served hot. Because it’s cold out.

It’s lush. And can be enjoyed by full time vegans, or casual dabblers in the animal product-free life alike.

To reach Coal Drops Yard in London, there are several options for public transport and driving/parking:

Public Transport:
1. By Tube: Take the Piccadilly Line, Northern Line, or Victoria Line to King's Cross St Pancras station. From there, it's a short walk to Coal Drops Yard.

2. By Train: If you're arriving at King's Cross or St Pancras International train stations, simply follow the signs to Coal Drops Yard. It's within walking distance from both stations.

3. By Bus: Various bus routes serve the King's Cross area. Check the Transport for London website or app for the most convenient bus route based on your starting location.

Driving/Parking:
1. From Central London: Head north on Euston Road/A501 towards King's Cross Station. Continue straight until you reach York Way/A5200. Turn left onto York Way and follow the signs to Coal Drops Yard. There are several paid parking options available nearby, including car parks at St Pancras International and King's Cross station.

2. From M25 (London Orbital): Take the M1 motorway towards Central London. At Junction 2, take the A1 exit towards Central London/Kingston upon Thames/Central London (North). Merge onto Barnet Bypass/A1 and continue straight until you reach York Way/A5200 in Islington. Turn right onto York Way and follow the signs to Coal Drops Yard. Paid parking facilities are available in the vicinity.
