Introducing one of the latest creations from our kitchen at The New Boar…
White Chocolate & Orange Truffle Torte
Minted aerated chocolate, rich chocolate sauce and fresh orange.
Just look at it. 😍
Silky white chocolate, that beautiful hit of orange, rich dark chocolate underneath and a touch of mint to bring it all together. This is the sort of dessert where you tell yourself you’re only having one spoonful of someone else’s… then immediately regret not ordering your own.
Made in-house by our pastry chef Paul and another example of just how seriously we’re taking the food at The New Boar right now.
It’s the weekend. Order the dessert. You can be sensible on Monday. 😉

This is what a weekend at The New Boar looks like. 🔥
Forget playing it safe. Our kitchen has been seriously showing off.
🦞 Whole lobster, served with golden wedges and dressed salad.
🍤 A proper towering prawn and crab cocktail, because apparently a normal prawn cocktail just wasn’t enough.
🐟 Beautifully cooked salmon, crisp skin, creamy sauce and crushed potatoes.
🍽️ And behind the scenes, plate after plate being finished and sent out of the kitchen.
This isn’t food designed for a quick photo and forgotten five minutes later. It’s generous, bold, slightly indulgent and exactly how weekend dining should be.

IT’S FRIDAY… SO WE’RE STARTING WITH DESSERT. 😍🍰
The weekend has officially arrived at The New Boar, and if you’ve still got room after dinner, our advice is simple… don’t skip dessert.
Our pastry chef Paul has been seriously raising the bar, with desserts made in-house that look almost too good to eat. Almost.
From rich chocolate and sharp, fruity flavours to beautifully made cheesecakes, crumbles and proper indulgent puddings, these aren’t an afterthought at the end of the meal. They’re worth coming for in their own right.
Good food, a few drinks, something sweet to finish and nowhere to rush off to.
That’s what weekends are for. 🥂

Weekend comfort food, with a serious upgrade. 🔥
Crispy Katsu chicken curry, rich Japanese curry sauce, coconut sticky rice, sharp pickled cucumber and Japanese radish, finished with chilli and spring onion.
Crunchy, creamy, sticky, spicy and ridiculously moreish.
We probably shouldn’t say it’s better than Wagamama… but we’re thinking it. 😂

Saturday food worth making plans for. 🤌🏼
Honey roast pork belly, beautifully caramelised and rich, served with Lyonnaise potatoes, spiced apple & fennel salsa, crisp pork air and a deep cider jus.
Sweet, savoury, sharp, buttery, crispy… every part of this plate has been thought through, and it absolutely looks the part.
This is the kind of dish weekends were made for.

This isn’t a huge concert hall. It’s up close, intimate and right here at The New Boar.
On Thursday 29th October, two of the UK’s leading tribute performers come together for one very special evening celebrating the music of Robbie Williams, Gary Barlow and Take That.

Together they’re pushing the kitchen forward with fantastic ingredients, proper cooking, beautiful presentation and a menu we’re genuinely excited about.
From restaurant-style dishes and pub favourites to Sunday roasts and Paul’s freshly made cakes and desserts, there’s a real buzz coming from the kitchen right now.

YES ITS ONLY MONDAY!! But…SUNDAYS ARE LOOKING VERY GOOD AT THE NEW BOAR… 😍
And yes, those roast potatoes really ARE as crispy as they look. 🔥
Beautifully cooked roast meats, huge Yorkshire puddings, pigs in blankets, stuffing, seasonal vegetables, golden roasties and plenty of proper gravy.
This is the kind of Sunday lunch where you clear the afternoon, order another drink and settle in.
Our kitchen team are putting everything into making Sunday at The New Boar one of the best roasts around.
Judging by these plates, we think they’re doing a pretty good job. 👀

If you haven’t eaten with us recently, you’re in for a surprise.
Our kitchen is serving some seriously beautiful food right now. Fresh fish, beautifully cooked meats, seasonal produce, proper sauces and dishes that are every bit as good to eat as they are to look at.
This isn’t food made just to look pretty on Instagram either. It’s generous, full of flavour and cooked properly.
