Food Relief Food Relief is a food bank that operates under the auspices of the registered charity Morden Islamic Community Centre (MICC), with support from Merton Council. This non-profit initiative relies on donations from residents of diverse backgrounds within the Borough of Merton and surrounding areas. Comprised of volunteers who are working professionals from various industries, the group has come together to give back to their community, driven by their shared commitment to ensuring that no one goes hungry.

Just three weeks into the lockdown, the Food Foundation said that 1.5 million Britons reported not eating for a whole day because they had no money or access to food.
