We’ve had an absolute shocker… the thyristor on our brewhouse has died 😭🔧 Which means NO BREWING until we can get the bloody thing repaired or replaced!

So, putting out the bat signal… 🆘

If anyone in the UK has a JUMO TYA-203 in stock, PLEASE GET IN TOUCH! 🙏🏼🍺

Meanwhile, Bertha has sprung into action 💪🏼🥫 and is doing her very best to get our Oktoberfest special releases canned, packed and ready to go! 🇩🇪🍻

🍻🇱🇹 Genys Brewing Co. always put on a great festival, and yesterday was no exception!

This was our third time in Lithuania, sharing our b**rs with the people of Kaunas and meeting some incredible breweries from all over Europe. 🍺🌍

If you’re into craft b**r and you’ve never been, you seriously need to add this festival to your list. Great b**r, great breweries and an amazing crowd every single time.

🍺 COMING FRESH OUT OF TANK THIS WEEK! 🍺

Würst Kasė Scenario is a rich, amber Märzen L***r brewed for Oktoberfest mischief. 🇩🇪🥨

Toasted Munich malts bring waves of fresh bread crust, biscuit, and smooth caramel sweetness, while noble hops swoop in just in time to keep things crisp, clean, and beautifully balanced.

It’s full-flavoured without being heavy, dangerously crushable, and highly likely to lead to questionable dance moves in traditional Bavarian attire. 🕺🍻

Best enjoyed with bratwurst, oversized steins, and absolutely no group chat evidence the next morning. 🌭🍺

🍻 IT MIGHT BE BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY… BUT B**R NEVER SLEEPS! 🍻

There’s dry hopping to be done 🌿, new recipes to plan 📝 and, seeing as you lovely people probably don’t have much else to do today… we thought we’d OPEN THE DOORS OF OUR BLACKHORSE LANE TAPROOM! 🙌🍺

So drop what you’re doing, get off the sofa 🛋️, stop nursing that hangover 🤕 and get yourself down to Walthamstow for some Bank Holiday b**rs! 🍻☀️

The taps are flowing, the b**r is cold and Monday suddenly looks a whole lot better. 😎

🌧️🍺 BANK HOLIDAY SATURDAY! 🍺🌧️

After a summer of London being approximately the same temperature as the surface of the sun, normal Bank Holiday service has finally resumed… it’s raining. 😂☔️

But that’s what taprooms were invented for.

Both our Blackhorse Road & Hackney taprooms are open, the b**r is cold, the roofs don’t leak. 🍻

So abandon the BBQ, forget the park and get yourself down the taproom. Good b**r, good food, good people and absolutely no requirement for sunshine.

And remember… Bank Holiday rules apply: Saturday is basically Friday, Sunday is basically Saturday and Monday is somebody else’s problem. 🍺🍺🍺

Fresh b**r, fresh kegs, ready to roll 🍺💪

Another kegging day at HCBC, filling up these lovely Kegstar kegs with the good stuff before they head out into the wild.

There’s something deeply satisfying about watching a freshly brewed batch make its way from tank to keg. Brewed, conditioned, checked, kegged and almost ready to be pouring at a bar near you. 🍻

These Kegstar beauties will soon be heading out to pubs, bars and venues — hopefully with considerably less b**r in them on the return journey. 👀

We don’t want to speak too soon… but COMMON SENSE PREVAILED LAST NIGHT! 🍻🙌

It seems the message has officially started to get out there: single-file queues at the bar are NOT the way forward. And last night, you beautiful people actually listened. 🥹👏

We know that approaching a bar and just… standing at it… might have felt like a strange and unsettling experience for some of you. Perhaps even a little lawless. But you did it. And look what happened:

🍺 Quicker service
⏱️ Less time queueing
🍻 More time drinking
🇬🇧 And that old, familiar, beautiful British pub culture returned.

Well done to everyone who resisted the urge to form an orderly line. The majority won.

Now we just need to keep it going.

On Saturday 10th October, the whole Blackhorse B**r Mile is getting together for one massive FREE all-day Harvestfest — and obviously we’re getting stuck right in at Hackney Church Brew Co. 🙌

We’ll be celebrating the harvest season alongside our brilliant neighbours across 10 unique locations, with breweries, wineries, a distillery and a whole lot more getting involved.
