Celebrating its first year on this planet, The Divine gathers together the very best performers from their previous incarnation as The Glory, along with a new throng of over 30 q***r angels and devils to produce The Divine Variety Show, a wonderous celestial happening of q***r performance at the illustrious HACKNEY EMPIRE!
The Divine’s very own Jonny Woo and John Sizzle curate and host this special gathering, of drag queens and kings, q***r stand-up, alternative performance art, live music, dance moments and all-round Hackney q***r fabulous-ness.⭐️

An evening with .co.uk reminiscing over 9 years of debauchery covering her highlights and her lowlights at The Glory.
Barb’s last cabaret at The Glory is a reflection on the years and the walls that made her. If these walls could talk, they would scream!

Just look at our baby!
From its humble beginnings in 1915 as a pub used by the local East End community, via the starry casts of Alfred Hitchcock movies (Gainsborough Studios was just around the corner), 281 Kingsland Road has always been a place of notoriety, art and outrageous performance.
Many a queen and king has filled their boots within our rickety q***r castle so it’s sad that The Glory will finally leave its beloved family home after a series of fabulous events, the final being 31st January 2024.
We only have 8 days left!!! So please come and press yourself against these campy haunted walls one last time AND then come and join us for the next chapter in q***r history at The Divine - your naughty little sister!

Where’s the lid? – A 2-Floor House n’ HI-NRG Party!
hosts this night dedicated to HiNRG and the popper sniffin’ days of yore.
The music is fast and euphoric with DJ’s , .norman.official , and Woo himself playing Amyl soaked bangers from the 70’s and 80’s plus top Rush inducing 90’s piano house and modern day pulse racing pop.
Keeping things explosive on the stage, showtime comes from our fave gal .co.uk and burlesque boi and recent LIPSYNC1000 finalist, .
Our Popper Boys will be popping out to shake some flesh as the DJs takes you higher and higher. Personal poppers welcome. Just don’t lose the lid!

To get to the location on Kingsland Road, you can take public transport or drive.
Public Transport:
Take the Overground line to Haggerston Station or the Underground Northern Line to Old Street Station. From either station, it is a 10-15 minute walk south down Kingsland Road. You can also take bus routes 67, 149, and 242 that run along Kingsland Road.
Driving/Parking:
From Central London, head east on A501 towards Shoreditch. Turn left onto Old Street/A5201 and continue for about 1 mile before turning right onto Kingsland Road/A10. The pub is around half a mile down on your right-hand side.
There is limited street parking available in the area but it is advised to use nearby car parks: Geffrye Museum Car Park and Haggerston park Car Park.
