The first long weekend of the year is approaching!

If you fancy making yourself a great breakfast to celebrate those extra slow mornings, then the STR masala fried eggs and potato brunch recipe is in this month’s email newsletter.

I donated this recipe to .co for their Brunch in London cookbook a few years ago. A fantastic book and charity. Still available to buy.

Granola through the years…. 💛✨ The March Newsletter includes an easy peasey hazelnut, almond and sesame granola recipe which has been tweaked and changed over the years depending on what that year’s granola bowl contained. I think the strawberry and lemon curd one was my favourite. 🍓

It’s Shrove Tuesday next week a.k.a. Pancake Day. I was going to put together a pancake recipe for this month’s email newsletter but there are so many out there already. So I decided to go with the STR courgette and sweetcorn fritters which are basically like pancakes anyway.

I was missing them, so made this dish for myself last year with some new brunchy sides that I think are easier for you to replicate at home. But feel free to pair them with whatever you like!

Please click the link in our bio to head over to the website and sign up to the newsletter which will be going out on Friday morning.

Happy New Year to you all! I hope you’ve had a great festive period and got a break where you can. I’m kicking off the 2026 newsletters with a really simple poached rhubarb recipe. Flavoured with lemon and rosemary. The perfect topping for porridge, granola, rice pudding…. coming very soon!

You can’t beat a proper hot chocolate made with actual chocolate topped with real cream. I much prefer a smaller portion of super rich hot chocolate to the powdered stuff. In this month’s newsletter you’ve got just that - a spiced sugar hot chocolate recipe using a delicious homemade brown sugar spice mix with cinnamon, ginger and other warming winter spices. ❄️ ☕️ It’s really easy. You can sign up to the newsletter on the website by clicking on the link in our bio and waiting for the newsletter pop up.

This is a quick update to let you know I’ll be taking some time off soon to welcome a new addition to the radish family, due at the start of November. 👶 🫜 I’m putting together some Instagram and email newsletter content in advance as a way of keeping in touch throughout that period. The email newsletters will include some (highly sought-after!) recipes from the cafe days and also provide details on events that I’m already planning for next year when I return so please do sign up if you haven’t already.

📸 Very much not a recent photo! From my shoot with .photography back in March 💕

What people say

Salt the Radish on Blackstock Road is a must-visit café for anyone looking for a delicious and healthy meal. The café offers an extensive range of speciality coffee and tea, along with mouth-watering cakes and pastries. Veggie and vegan options are also available, making it a perfect spot for everyone. The brunch menu is exceptional, with dishes like toasted seeded sourdough with poached eggs, spinach, and STR dukkah being a highlight. The salads are also fantastic, with the panzanella salad being a particular favourite. Salt the Radish also celebrates its birthday in style, as seen by the 40-layer chocolate ganache crepe cake made to celebrate their sixth anniversary. The drinks menu is equally impressive, with three different iced teas on offer this summer and a lovely sparking drink special that can be made boozy if desired. With such great food and drink options available, Salt the Radish is definitely worth checking out!
