Coffee on our shelf: introducing ‘The Keepsake’
Sourced from smallholder farmers in San Martín, Guatemala, many of whom work on land passed down through generations. This coffee carries a story of heritage, care and continuity.
From the generations who have cared for the land to the many hands that bring this coffee to your cup, there’s a little something that connects it all. A thread that runs through generations, places and people, often without us even realising.
At Christmas, it’s a ribbon.
For the farmers, it’s lineage.
For the coffee, it’s a journey.
For people, it’s a connection.
And that’s how ‘The Keepsake’ came to be!
Roasted to bring out comforting notes of Apple Pie, Vanilla Bean and a hint of Caramel. Just the kind of warmth we could all do with as the temperature starts to drop.
And perhaps a little reminder that the things we pass on don’t always have to be big or extraordinary. Sometimes, it’s the simplest things that stay with us the longest ♥️☕️

Our first open mic with 🎤

This doodle was inspired by a photo that Ali Holden took for us a while ago for the Indy coffee guide (just a swipe away!).
Among all the photos that he captured that day. This instantly became a favourite.
This is exactly what we hope this place can be for everyone who visits us. A neighbourhood spot where you can slow down, catch up or simply connect.
I’ve been playing around with this doodle for a while, trying to find the right spot for it and I think I finally have. Here, we will see it every morning as a little reminder of what we are working towards, and hopefully tells everyone who walk through our doors a little bit of what we stand for.

Coffee on our shelf series ☕️
Meet Quietly Bold, a lot sourced entirely from women coffee farmers in Chiapas, Mexico through the Café Delas programme.
Café Delas helps women producers gain better access to resources, knowledge and opportunities within the industry. A portion of the sales are also reinvested back into the program to support gender equality and the women in coffee.
Grown in the highlands around San Cristóbal de las Casas, the cherries are carefully picked, washed and hand-sorted before making their way to us in Streatham!
We roast it to bring out a warm, comforting cup of brown spices, orange and honey notes.
Quietly bold, in more ways than one 😌♥️

I’m not lying when I say I didn’t drink coffee until I started working in Batch two years ago. Since then, I’ve definitely made up for lost time though 😂
Fast forward to today, we’re roasting our own coffee.
To be honest, I was a little scared at first about introducing our own roast to a customer base that was already used to something else. That’s why it means so so much when customers come up to us and tell us how much they have enjoyed the coffee. However, an even more rewarding part for me is seeing my colleagues proudly tell those customers that, “It’s our own blend”.
It hasn’t been easy. Roasting is an added responsibility on top of our day to day operations. Even after the shutters come down, we are not done for the day. As a small-scale roaster, every single batch is quality checked multiple times before it makes into your daily brew. Each coffee bag is hand packed, with every scoop carefully checked before it goes in. But it’s moments like these that makes all the extra efforts worth it.
A big thank you to every single one of you who’s supported us, tried the coffee, shared feedback, and trusted us along the way. We genuinely appreciate it ♥️
And cheers to taking the leap despite being scared! 🥂

To reach the coffee shop in Streatham Hill, you can take public transportation options such as buses and trains. Alternatively, if you choose to drive, there are parking options available nearby.
By Public Transport:
- Take the train to Streatham Hill station, and then walk south toward Streatham Hill Road. Turn left onto Leigham Court Road, and keep walking until you see the coffee shop on your left.
- Alternatively, take bus numbers 50, 57 or 333 that stop near the coffee shop. Get off at Telford Avenue bus stop and head east along Leigham Court Road until you spot the cafe.
By Car:
- If driving from central London, head south on A23 towards Streatham High Road. Take a right turn onto Telford Avenue and then turn left onto Barcombe Avenue followed by a right into Leigham Court road where you have reached your destination.
-Parking options include streest parking along Leigham Court road or paid parking at The High Parade Car Park which is just a few minutes away from Batch & Co.
