Meet our regulars
If you’ve ever popped into the North Star and fancied a chat, chances are you’ve already met a few of our dart team! 🎯
Our Star Shooters (Mondays) and North Star Darts (Thursdays) have been part of the pub since January 2025, bringing together local regulars, friendly competition and plenty of good times along the way.
Led by Dan, our captain and secretary who also sits on the league committee, alongside John, our results coordinator, the team competes in tournaments against other pubs and hosts a friendly every year with the Chessington Oak. They’re always happy to welcome new players, so whether you’re a seasoned thrower or just fancy giving it a go, there’s a place for you! 🎯
The team has also raised over £2,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support through charity tournaments, as well as coming together to support one of their own during a difficult time. ❤️
Since our refurb, the improved darts area and a decent-sized TV have made it an even better spot to play, catch the football and enjoy a pint. You’ll also find the team practising on Sundays from around 6:30–7pm.
We’re also proud to host the Cricket Club darts team, run by Lordy and Liz, bringing even more of the local darts community together under one roof.
For this lot, it’s about more than just hitting the trebles. It’s friendship, community and knowing that whenever you pop into the North Star, there’s always a familiar face and someone to have a chat with.
Fancy joining in? Come down, say hello and get involved!

Meet our quiz teams
We all met through Warren at Tenpin Bowling and have been doing the quiz together regularly for around 3 years now!
We love coming along because it’s a really good excuse to get everyone together, have some food and dinner, and spend time with our friends. Plus, the quiz is actually really fun… although we definitely don’t like coming second!
It’s such a friendly, family-orientated pub and we love the social side of coming here. Warren’s daughters work here too, which makes it even more of a family affair!
We’ve loved seeing the pub after the revamp and Ruth is a brilliant quiz master, she definitely keeps us coming back!
It’s become a proper part of our week and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
