We're delighted to share the outcome of our recent Ofsted inspection at YMCA Before And After School Club at Handsworth Primary.
The inspection recognised our provision as Strong in:
• Children's welfare and wellbeing
• Inclusion
• Leadership and governance
The report highlights the positive relationships our team builds with children, our commitment to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment, and the support we provide for children and families.
We're particularly proud that the inspection recognised the strong partnerships between staff, parents, carers and the school, which help create positive outcomes for children.

This October, we're proud to celebrate and this year's theme,
Led by our Race Employee Resource Group (ERG), Black History Month is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the contributions, achievements and experiences of Black people across our communities, history and society. It also shines a light on the everyday contributions of educators, carers, volunteers, advocates, community leaders and many others who help shape and strengthen communities across the UK.
At YMCA St Paul's Group, we see the importance of community every day. Across our organisation, from our Children and Youth Services, our service users, our resident groups and our staff, we are proud to support diverse communities where people feel included, valued and belong.
These colourful flags were decorated by children attending our Breakfast and After School Clubs, reflecting the diversity, culture and community that we celebrate throughout Black History Month and beyond.
Throughout October, YMCA St Paul's Group will be sharing stories, resources and opportunities for learning as we come together to honour our communities and celebrate the people who make a positive difference every day.

At YMCA St Paul’s Group, we support whole-person wellbeing through our gyms, exercise classes and Release Counselling service.
