Now the dust has settled and the hangover is finally abating… we’d like to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who came and helped us celebrate our first year at The Stuffed Walrus! 🥂🦭🎉
To our incredible team—thank you for making the Walrus such a warm, welcoming and wonderfully characterful place.
To our customers—thank you for supporting us on this wild journey and bringing so much life and soul to the pub. It really does feel like having one big extended family downstairs.
To all our wonderful contributors, who fill the Walrus with music, movement, laughter, creativity and community: , , Daisy First Aid and —thank you for being such an important part of what we do.
A special thank you to Alex McRitchie for brilliantly taking charge of the MC and open mic duties, to Angela Webb for the fabulous birthday cake, to Jemma Harris for the brilliant balloons and to Nick Kharbanda for very generously providing our welcome drinks. You all helped make the night properly special.

An emotional day at The Stuffed Walrus as the tiniest member of our team started preschool! 🥹
To all the other parents who sobbed after dropping off their little ones for the first time today: we see you.
We’re here with tissues, distractions and emotional support in liquid form—or ice cream, because apparently that helps too.

TINY TRIVIA IS BACK!
Our lunchtime quiz for new parents returns on Wednesday 16th September, 12.30pm–2.30pm.
Give your baby brain a workout and enjoy some lunch with other local parents. Expect fun questions, silly moments and absolutely no judgement if you’ve forgotten everything since giving birth!

SPOOKY SING SONG
After a break for the summer, our Open Mic is back with a bang on All Hallows’ Eve for an epic song fright fest!
Think ghosts of divas past, monster hits, haunting harmonies and plenty of costumed chaos. Whether you’re brave enough to take the mic or would rather raise the spirits from the audience, everyone is welcome.

Meet the Team… 🦭
We saved this one for Sunday because today we’re also wishing a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the youngest member of the Walrus team — Ostin! 🎂🎉
Ostin joined us right on our opening night, having only just turned 18. Fast forward to today and he’s grown into a fantastic bartender, an absolute legend behind the bar and a much-loved member of the Walrus family.
When he isn’t downing protein, counting his macros or talking about his next gym session, you’ll often find him chasing down our resident toddler troublemaker. 😂

We're delighted to be welcoming even more wonderful local contributors to our next New & Expectant Parents Coffee Morning on Tuesday 11th August! ☕👶
This time, we're thrilled that Popolo Ceramics will be joining us.
We absolutely love their beautiful keepsake pottery. Having your little one's tiny hand or footprint captured on a mug, plate or ornament is such a special way to preserve those precious early memories.

Alex
One of the many Alex's that keep The Stuffed Walrus running...
When he's not polishing glasses in his casual wear tiara (because why wouldn't you?), Alex can usually be found behind the bar with a smile on his face.
A loyal Millwall supporter (someone has to be!), he somehow stays remarkably cheerful despite the occasional... setback.
If you pop in on a Thursday, don't be surprised to see him joining in with a few Tappy Toes dance moves too.
He'll happily pour you a pint, have a chat, and probably try to convince you that this is Millwall's year.
