🎉 What an amazing start to our 9th birthday celebrations!
We’ve had so many people taking part in our 🫘 Guess the Coffee Beans competition and testing their skills in the ⏱️ 9-Second Challenge for a chance to win a FREE coffee. It’s been fantastic seeing so many familiar faces and meeting new customers too.

The Nata Brûlée Cloud was created in memory of someone very special to us 🤍
Our inspiration came from a much-loved regular who visited our café daily for his favourite cappuccino and pastel de nata. Over time, he became part of our coffee shop family, and his warmth and kindness left a lasting mark on all of us.
The weekend would have been his birthday, so we wanted to honour the simple ritual he loved most: good coffee, good conversation, and a pastel de nata shared in good company.
More than just a signature drink, the Nata Brûlée Cloud is a tribute to comfort, community, and the people who make cafés feel like home ☁️
We’re so happy you got to experience it 🙌🏽

For years, The Common Espresso Bar team has walked through the doors of the London Coffee Festival feeling inspired by the incredible people, coffee, and creativity that fill the space.
To now be invited to join the True Artisan Café line-up alongside Union Hand-Roasted Coffee honestly feels like a full circle moment for us.
What started as a small independent coffee shop by Clapham Common has grown into something we’re so proud to share on a much bigger stage.
We couldn’t arrive without bringing a piece of The Common Espresso Bar with us!

Running with heart, purpose, and love 💚
Our amazing customer Jonny is taking on the Shakespeare Marathon this 26th April alongside Hannah, Aidan, and Tom — all in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.
This run is deeply personal. They’re doing it for Hannah and Jonny’s dad, Gary, and now running in his memory after his recent passing. A powerful reminder of why charities like Macmillan are so vital — providing care, comfort, and support when it’s needed most.
We’re so proud of you all and will be cheering you on every step of the way 🙌
