A Greek classic. Skordalia, the beloved garlic potato starter served across Greece.

Here, Chef Patron shows us how it’s done: creamy potatoes, plenty of garlic, good olive oil, finished with lemon juice and a touch of zest.

A taverna staple and an absolute must-try at home.

What people say

Myrtos London on Brompton Road in South Kensington brings a heartfelt, modern take on Greek dining, led by Michelin-starred chef Asimakis Chaniotis. Drawing inspiration from his roots in Athens and Kefalonia, the restaurant delivers flavours that feel both authentic and thoughtfully refined.

The menu highlights classic Greek comfort with a distinctive Myrtos touch. Fire-cooked dishes are a standout, including a smoky, crisp pork skewer-style preparation featuring pork neck, leg and belly—brined overnight for depth of flavour and cooked over fire for that unmistakable grilled character.

Desserts also shine. Homemade pistachio ice cream is made from scratch in the kitchen, offering a rich, creamy finish that perfectly complements the meal.

For those who enjoy lighter plates, the autumn salad is a great example of how Myrtos balances freshness and complexity: root vegetables with chicken stock-poached carrots, beetroot, pickled Savoy cabbage, caramelised baby onions and figs, finished with fresh anthotyro and a balsamic & coriander dressing.

Overall, Myrtos London is an inviting Greek restaurant where bold cooking technique meets genuine Mediterranean hospitality—ideal for anyone looking to enjoy Greece’s flavours in the heart of South Kensington.
