Hello 👋 it’s been a while hasn’t it!
You may have thought with the lack of posts that’s Faleycakes was gone, and that would be a fair assumption! But the truth is, I’m still here - I just scaled down majorly and now I only operate the business part-time.
The reason for this was that, like many small businesses, I found it unsustainable to make a living from - costs always rising, cost of living always on the up and leaving everyone with less money to afford luxuries like bespoke cakes - I decided I’d return to making cakes as a side hustle, just enough to keep my creative mind ticking over, alongside a seperate full time job.
But I acknowledge I took my eye off the ball in terms of marketing and engagement with my customers - so many of you who were so loyal and a joy to work with - I am sorry I dropped off the face of the planet, and I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to you for your previous support.
One result of me dropping the ball was that my google review page was deleted due to inactivity 👎🏻 which was kind of heartbreaking as I had so many positive reviews on there ❤️ . I set a new one up, but never got round to building it back up.
I haven’t done any orders in the last couple of weeks, so I was surprised to get a notification of a negative 1 STAR review today 🤔 I was even more surprised to see the reason for this review (swipe to see).
Leaving a 1 star review unduly for a small business is really damaging, and I’d urge anyone to think twice before doing something that can ruin years of hard work for no good reason 🤷🏻♀️
So, if you’re still reading this and if I’ve ever made a cake for you in the past that you enjoyed, I’d be eternally grateful if you could leave me a NEW google review ❤️ (link in bio)
Faleycakes is still here, just in a much smaller capacity - I can’t accept as many orders as I used to, but if you have an upcoming occasion that you may need a cake for, please contact me and if I CAN help, I WILL help (just please forgive me if I take more than 21 hours to reply 😉)
Much love ❤️❤️ Teresa ###

*LONG POST ALERT*
New Year, New Logo 🖤🤍
Hi everyone! I’ve been very quiet on here the last year or so, as I made the move from running Faleycakes full-time to part-time. Why you might ask? Well, I started faleycakes over 10 years ago because I had a passion for making and decorating cakes. I decided to turn my passion into a little side business and from there it slowly grew and grew until it became my full-time work for a successful couple of years. However last year after much consideration I decided it was in my best interest to scale back, and return to doing cakes as my “side hustle” so that I could continue to truly enjoy this passion, as well as pursuing some other ambitions of mine.
And so now, here we are! New Year, New Logo, same delicious, beautiful cakes, just operating on a more limited schedule!
I’d love to help you with cakes and cupcakes for any special occasions you may have coming up this year, but please bear in mind a few things:
🧁I have more limited availability now, so it’s best to make enquiries early to secure dates
🧁The website has changed from faleycakes.co.uk to faleycakes.com
🧁 The email has changed to [email protected] (rather than .co.uk)
🧁 The contact number has changed to 0208 0589021
🧁 Enquiries will be answered as soon as possible but please bear with me as sometimes it may take up to 48 hours
Look forward to creating some fantastic cakes for your upcoming special occasions! ❤️

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas ❄️ 🎅🏼 🌲
I’m now taking orders for Christmas items, which this year include this deliciously rich chocolate Yule log with Italian meringue chocolate buttercream filling and ganache coating, and our Xmas character cupcakes (box of 6).
More photos to follow soon of the other items available!

I had the pleasure of running a cupcake decorating class today as part of an event with for breast cancer awareness. You may already know that October is breast cancer awareness month and Coppafeel is a charity that works to raise awareness and empower young women and men to check themselves and be familiar with the potential signs which can help with early diagnosis.
I was asked to run a workshop to make some cheeky b**b cupcakes, which was great fun and I have to say everyone who took part did a great job, and certainly no one made a tit of it (that’s my one and only terrible joke I promise 😆)
Swipe for some snaps of the making process and for some top tips from coppafeel on how to check yourself 🖐🏼

How beautiful does this set up look!
This was a first for me creating a rose gold sequin effect on the bottom tier and I was very pleased with how it came out 👌🏼
Vanilla sponge and lemon sponge cakes, with buttercream filling and ganache covering.
Accompanied by an assortment of cupcakes and brownies.
Congratulations Sophie and Adam, thanks for letting me create your cake and I hope you had a wonderful day! ❤️
