Hi all!
Today is the start of our summer campaign to ensure children from Southwark and Havering areas are able to enjoy the summer holidays to the MAX!!
Big Adventures for Little Londoners takes children from Southwark & Havering beyond the city for life changing experiences they’d never otherwise access. Our project boosts confidence, mental health, & curiosity, providing treasured memories & inspiring stories to share when they return to school.
Any donation is massively appreciated and will be matched by The Childhood Trust!
Thankyou for all your support!

Ok so a couple of things…
1. Our post the other day about it being so quiet that I suspected a zombie apocalypse was in play actually gained us 20 new followers, so I just wanted to say thankyou to everyone that chose to support us ❤️❤️
2. I did in fact speak too soon because we picked up massively that day and it sent us into a momentary panic but we made it 💪🏻
3. We are currently on day 2 of wonderful weather so I have decided to risk it and set the outside furniture up so you can all enjoy the sunshine in the courtyard. I may regret this decision as soon as the wind picks up again and I spend my day chasing chairs across the courtyard but we move forward!
We hope to see you all soon 💚

I’ve been a bit quiet on social media recently, we’ve made a couple of changes to things and it’s taken a bit of getting used to our social media presence has lacked a bit due to this, but rest assured… we are back!
Mondays, although quiet, are a very busy day for us at the cafe because it’s the day we have to really get set up for the week after being closed all weekend (our dishwasher is also broken so…). This morning we’ve been busy prepping our famous jacket potatoes, curried tomato soup, bacon and starting to get set up for the Easter holiday camps in a couple of weeks… which if you remember is BUSY!
We hope to see you all joining us this week, as you can see there’s lots of big smiles from our lovely volunteers so you’re guaranteed to be greeted with a smile and will be well taken care of ☺️

It is my last day at work before I’m off on annual leave for a week.. so I thought I’d end on a high note and stick with the ‘love’ theme for the week in celebration of Valentine’s Day!
So today we have a new muffin flavour to the menu, and I must say I think it’s the best muffin I’ve ever made… introducing the red velvet muffin! She’s chocolatey, she’s fluffy and she’s made with lots of love! ❤️❤️
