To all our friends & customers alike, it is with heavy hearts that we send this final farewell.
It has been confirmed that our lease will not be renewed with the developer in January, & so we will be closing our doors for the final time Friday 23 December 2022.
David & I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for so many happy times, friends made & treasured memories, and to our loyal staff, Brooke Hannah & Owen who always kept smiling, we’re a massive moral support through Covid & this last year of worry & stress & constantly worked so hard for us.
Also to Martha Grekos, our Common Councillor for the ward of Castle Baynard, whose generous & Herculean efforts to help us in our fight to try to save the pub.
We will always be forever grateful to you all.

Steadfast, courageous, determined, loyal & true. Queen Elizabeth II, our beloved Monarch who was for 70 years, our devoted public servant. Back with her soulmate & love. RIP your majesty 💐

We’re trying desperately to save the pub & im hoping some of you may be able to help us by writing your objections to a direct link which I’ve included for your convenience. www.planning2.cityoflondon.gov.uk ….
it doesn’t need to be a massively worded piece, but if you can include *HC7* as this refers directly to the contrary of the city of londons local plan policy which protects public houses & resists their loss as any application proposing this should be refused. Xx thanks so much in advance. Ps, the reference number is 22/00622/FULMAJ xx

Pub
To all our loyal St Brides customers & friends, we have some very sad news to announce, some of you may already be aware, but others, maybe not.
We have know for a while that the pub is due for demolition to make way for more offices, but we have just received 6 months notice to say that this will start in January 2023, so as it currently stands, we will be closing our doors on December 23rd 2022 for the last time.
Please can you help us to try to Save St Brides Tavern from demolition. As you know, we are a completely independent, traditional family run London City pub, offering a service you can only get from independent traders, of which there are very few left up & down the country, let alone in the City, so if anyone can advise or help us regards this we would be really grateful, also tho, we will start a book for signatures which
we will leave on the bar top as of Monday 15th August.
Love Karen & David x

What people say
St Brides Tavern is a hidden gem located on a quiet road just off of New Bridge Street in London. This family-run pub is the perfect place to unwind and relax with friends after a long day, without being disturbed by the hustle and bustle of the city. The large outside area of street seating is equipped with heating and large umbrellas, making it comfortable for patrons to enjoy their drinks even in unpredictable weather conditions.
