Lori & The George: A Love Story in Red and White ❤️🤍
Some people walk into The George and leave behind much more than a memory. Lori Colbert-Briscoe is one of those very special people.
Lori and her husband are passionate Arsenal supporters, and their story with The George goes back many years. Her husband used to live in Eden Grove, and on his 18th birthday, he had his first pint at The George. ❤️
Years later, after meeting and marrying in Canada, fate brought Lori back to us. When The George reopened in January 2025, she found us on social media and immediately sent us the warmest email. When she later visited North London, she arrived with wonderful gifts, a huge smile and the most positive energy.
Lori is an incredibly strong woman who has overcome serious health challenges, yet she remains full of life, warmth and positivity. Meeting someone like Lori reminds us that The George is about so much more than football 💯 it’s about people, memories, friendships and coming home. ❤️
She was one of our very own good-luck angels last season, and we truly hope to welcome Lori, her husband and their fellow Canadian Gooners back to North London in May 2027.
Until then, Lori, remember that you and your Arsenal family always have a home away from home at The George. 🇨🇦❤️🤍
