Our patio area is officially open for alfresco dining. Hereโs everything you need to know before you grab a seat outside!
We like to keep outdoor dining seriously relaxed, so hereโs how it works:
โ๏ธ Find a table and make a note of the table number
โ๏ธ Pick up a menu from our outdoor station and have a browse
โ๏ธ When youโre ready to order, simply order and pay online via the McMullenโs app or head to the bar
โ๏ธ Prefer table service? Where possible, a member of the team will be happy to assist with ordering and payment at your table
โ๏ธ Then leave the rest to us, sit back, relax and enjoy the sunshine
A few things to note:
- Well behaved dogs are very welcome.
- Please be considerate of others when smoking and use the ashtrays provided.
- Reservations are currently unavailable for alfresco dining and tables are available on a walk-in basis only.

This week we would like to reintroduce our amazing assistant manager Mel. For the past 7 years Mel has developed her skills and knowledge at the Kings Mead as part of the GROW programme and we are incredibly lucky to have her supporting and inspiring the next generation of the team!

The pub and gastropub and beer bar located on Hertford Road in London can be conveniently accessed through public transport or by driving. For those who prefer public transport, they can take the Tube and alight at any of the nearest stations such as Tottenham Hale, Seven Sisters, Blackhorse Road or Walthamstow Central. From these stations, they can board a bus heading towards Hertford Road and alight at the nearest bus stops.
For those who opt to drive, they can take the A406 North Circular Road and exit towards Great Cambridge Road (A10). Follow this road until reaching Hertford Road where The Kings Mead - Ware is located. Parking options are available nearby such as street parking or private parking areas for a fee.

The Kings Mead in Ware is a charming pub that offers seriously relaxed dining and a family golfing centre. As part of the McMullen family since 1950, it was rebuilt in 2016 and named after the local area on which it sits with a nod to historic alcoholic beverages of old. The pub is located on the site of the original East Herts Golf Club, which became Chadwell Springs 9 hole Golf course in 1974. The land is formed over chalk caves, and the water in these caves is still used in the brew of McMullens local ales.
The Kings Mead serves fresh food, fine wines, local handcrafted ales from the Hertford Brewery, and ethical coffee that has been selflessly and fastidiously tested to ensure perfection for customers. Whether you visit the pub on its own or after enjoying the driving range, putting green, 9-hole course or foot golf, it's an excellent way to build an appetite for the entire family.
