Possibly the best sight to see heading towards your table.
A trolley loaded with curries, sides and all the bits in between, freshly prepared and ready to be shared. The difficult part is remembering which dishes you actually ordered.

Celebrating Janmashtami — the birth of Lord Krishna and a festival filled with devotion, joy and tradition.
The flute is inseparable from Krishna’s story, a symbol of love, harmony and the divine call that brings people together.
Today we celebrate those traditions, the stories passed through generations and the culture that continues to connect us, wherever in the world we may be.
Happy Janmashtami from all of us at Namaste Village.

Behind every plate is a busy kitchen, a hot pan and a team cooking with instinct, experience and a serious amount of heat.
Our food is cooked fresh, with the spices, techniques and flavours that have shaped Indian kitchens for generations.
This is where it all begins. 🔥

A table full of colour, spice and the flavours we grew up with.
Indian food has always been about more than simply eating. It’s about gathering around the table, sharing dishes, trying a little of everything and making sure nobody leaves hungry.
Come hungry. Order for the table. Share everything.

Plates keep arriving until you tell us to stop — that’s the whole deal with our Sunday Unlimited Buffet. Tomorrow’s the day. Tonight’s the night to grab a table before it fills. Every dish on that buffet starts vegetarian and plant-based, and we’re happy to adapt for gluten, dairy or other allergies — just let the team know before you dig in.

Happy Onam!
Today we celebrate one of Kerala’s most cherished festivals — a celebration of harvest, homecoming, abundance and community.
Onam brings families and friends together through beautiful traditions, from colourful Pookalam flower arrangements to music, festivities and, of course, the incredible Onam Sadya — a feast traditionally served on a banana leaf, bringing together an array of dishes and flavours.
At its heart, Onam is about togetherness, gratitude and sharing what we have with those around us — values that feel very close to everything we believe in at Namaste Village.
To everyone celebrating today, wherever you may be, we wish you a joyful and prosperous Onam.

A little Rakhi, with lots of love ❤️
Starting Monday, every table dining with us through to Raksha Bandhan on Friday will receive a Rakhi to take home — a small thread with a big meaning.
Raksha Bandhan, literally ‘the bond of protection’, is one of India’s most tender festivals: a promise between siblings that they’ll always be there for one another.
Take yours home and tie it on your brother, sister, cousin, or anyone who feels like family.
Come in from Monday to get yours

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us across our venues to celebrate Indian Independence Day. 🇮🇳
Seeing our communities come together to honour our heritage, celebrate freedom and share in the spirit of the day meant so much to us.
From the flags flying to the conversations over chai, it was a wonderful reminder that no matter where in the world we are, we never forget where we came from.
Thank you for celebrating with us. Jai Hind. ❤️

Independence Day gave us a moment to reflect on our heritage, our roots, and the traditions we carry with us wherever we go. 🇮🇳
And, of course, so much of that story is told through food.
The recipes passed down through generations, the spices and flavours that remind us of home, and the simple joy of bringing people together around a table.

Today, we celebrate freedom. 🇮🇳
The freedom to live, to dream, to build a future and to carry our culture with us wherever in the world we may call home.
India’s Independence Day is also a reminder to never forget where we came from, the sacrifices that gave us our freedom, and the values, traditions and stories that make us who we are.
We may travel far from our motherland, but our roots travel with us.
Today we celebrate India. We celebrate our heritage. We celebrate the generations before us. And above all, we celebrate the precious gift of freedom.
Happy Independence Day. 🇮🇳
Jai Hind. Vande Mataram. ❤️

Tomorrow, we celebrate India’s Independence Day. 🇮🇳
A day to remember the courage and sacrifice that gave us our freedom, to celebrate how far we have come, and to recognise the responsibility we all share to protect the values that freedom represents.
Whether India is the place you call home or a place that lives in your heart from afar, today is about coming together with pride, gratitude and unity.
From all of us at Namaste Village, Happy Independence Day.
वन्दे मातरम् — Vande Mataram 🇮🇳
Jai Bharat!

A kids’ menu shouldn’t just mean a smaller plate of the same thing. It should mean someone thought about the picky eater who only wants plain rice tonight, and the braver one three tables over asking for “the spicy one, actually.” Being a family-run restaurant means we get that difference — every child gets to choose what feels right for them today, met with exactly the same care as the adult ordering next to them. Maybe a little more, if we’re honest. Kids eat free this week. Vegetarian by default, and easy to adapt further — gluten, dairy, nuts, whatever it is, just tell us when you book and we’ll sort a plate that works.

Six weeks ago this group of eight couldn’t agree on how much cumin was “a pinch.” Tonight they plated their own thalis, start to finish, no help from us. We got a bit soft watching it, honestly. Congratulations to our latest Namaste Cookery School graduates — go feed someone properly.

Start as you mean to go on… with a table full of hot appetisers.
Crispy, spicy, packed with flavour and made for sharing — although we won’t judge if you keep them all to yourself.

From today through the day itself, 10–15 August, every table gets a free Tiranga Barfi with dessert — tricolour, and entirely on us. Worth knowing: the barfi contains cashew, pistachio and milk — if that’s a problem, or you’re avoiding anything else, just tell our team and we’ll bring you something else to celebrate with.
Same as every 26th of January and every 15th of August, the flag goes up outside our door again this Independence Day — no formality required, just turn up. Afterwards, free chai and nashta for everyone who comes — not a promotion so much as an excuse for the Indian community here in Twickenham to actually stand in one place together for half an hour before the day gets busy. It’s free, but we’d love a headcount so we know how much chai to put on — RSVP via the Eventbrite link in our bio.
