Sometimes you just have to scratch your head....
When a customer comes to you saying their gears are slipping the first check is usually the chain and cassette. Turns out the problem was a little more obvious... the chainring is absolutely mashed. New chainring incoming to get this ride back on the road.

You asked for more so here it is... Dirtiest Brompton EVER clean up operation Part 1.
We removed the chainset from the bike and started by undoing the chainring bolts and removing the chain guard. Next we scraped the bulk of the hardened and built up grease and road grime off the chainrings. The chairing and cranks were then scrubbed clean in a bike decreasing solution before being given a run through in our Rozone specialist bio remediation parts washer. Once all clean it was reassembled ready to go back on the bike.

Why are Brompton owners like this? We know they are peak commuter bikes, little workhorses carrying their owners from station to destination but seriously, look after these guys - they need cleaning and regular servicing just like any bike. Remember, a Brompton is for life not just for Christmas

First day back in the shop for our Karin! After tearing her ACL two months ago and undergoing surgery and ALOT of physio it is great to finally have her back.

Sometimes we see some funny old stuff in the workshop. Chanelling Samuel L Jackson with this innertube that looks like a snake that swallowed its own tail.

e see alot of bad tyres but these ones take the cake... Word to the wise, check em and change em when they start to split and crack, no-one wants a blow out on the road

Sometimes the problem is right there in front of you. Lesson learned kids - keep your bungees and luggage straps well clear of your wheels.

So apparently you can park Lime bikes wherever you want but the one regular bike that is legitimately parked is causing an obstruction... come on sort it out

No car no problem. When we need to move stuff, a bike and old innertubes are it.

Love us a doggo at Pedal Back. The incredibly sweet Lemon and his human dropped by for some bike TLC and a belly rub, woof!

It's a new week and we're ready for it.
It's dry (for now), the temperature is hitting double digits, and we're ready to get these bikes rolling.

Ribble Ti Gravel Bike build... Very satisfying.
Customer's carbon road bike frame was damaged so he treated himself to a new Ribble Titanium Gravel frameset. We stripped and cleaned all his existing components then built them all onto the new frameset. The result a pretty damn sexy and should last a lifetime 😍

Top day at the Lee Valley Velodrome. Massive thanks to Madison for hosting this amazing cycle trade event. Great to catch a sneak peak at new tech, bikes and accessories in the pipeline from top brands in the cycle industry, and we even managed to bag a picture with the G.O.A.T Calvin Jones of Park Tool Company!

We don't mess when it comes to delivering for our customers. Take this Specialized Allez. Ridden hard then abandoned for 2 years in shed. We brought this bike back from the dead. Stripped, cleaned and serviced from top to bottom. New chain, cassette, cables and pads, now she looks and rides like new.
Chanelling Zlatan all the way.

Customer came to us with a flat tyre on a Bromton T Line and what we found shocked us all.. a 3cm piece of metall had sliced straight through the tyre and was buried deep inside the innertube. The customer said they were riding past a building site when the puncture happened so likely debris from the site had spilled onto the road.
Tyre and tube were totalled so new Schwalbe Marathon and innertube fitted to get this Brompton back on the road.
