All of us at Native are delighted and honoured for the recognition of our commitment to fixing the food chain!

The Native brand has been quietly evolving over the last decade in various locations. Sustainability in all areas of the restaurant’s operation has been at the heart of all we do – and currently having the extensive on-site gardens has given us an even more focussed ultra-seasonal approach to our food and service. We are beyond grateful to for acknowledging our efforts!

Michelin explain the criteria for the Green Star on their website, stating that the award is given to “restaurants at the forefront of the industry when it comes to their sustainability practices….for both their ethical and environmental standards. These restaurants offer dining experiences that combine culinary excellence with outstanding eco-friendly commitments and are a source of inspiration both for keen foodies and the hospitality industry as a whole.”

From Sunday 22nd September the Native Sunday roast is back! A weekly changing Sunday lunch highlighting our nose to tail ethos - Think classic and hearty, terrines with crusty bread, fire roasted meats and potatoes crisped in fat (link in bio to view menu).

As the tickle of autumn is upon us, here are a few picks to ‘roast & ramble’ your Sundays away for the foreseeable.

With rural idylls, historic homes and gardens offers something for everyone within the Herefordshire and Worcestershire realms from the traditionally farmed estate and medieval Manor House; Brockhampton (Bromyard) to the Georgian grandeur of Berrington Hall (Leominster) with its neoclassical mansion by designed by Henry Holland.

The Knapp and Papermill Nature Reserve (Alfrick) is a particular favourite of ours, consisting of old valley meadows, woodland and orchards. Managed by make sure to keep an eye out for butterflies such as red admiral and birds like fieldfare and redwing feasting on the fallen autumn fruit.

The Bromyard Downs covers 114 hectares of common land and has long been known locally as the Jewel of Herefordshire and with good reason. This vast expanse of land, which formed part of the ancient Manor of Bromyard, offers gentle climbs, ancient woods, impressive views and an abundance of nature.

For non-locals why not make a weekend of it and join us for an overnight stay in one of our rooms?

Native, located on Brook Street in London, is a British restaurant that truly embodies the essence of British cuisine. With its Michelin Plate recognition and commitment to sustainable cooking, Native offers a dining experience like no other.

One of the standout features of Native is their dedication to using seasonal ingredients. Their menu is dictated by the tides on Osea Island in Maldon, ensuring that only the freshest and most flavorful ingredients are used in their dishes. This commitment to sourcing local and sustainable ingredients not only supports local farmers and producers but also guarantees an exceptional dining experience for guests.

The restaurant itself is situated in a historic building with a rich history. The iconic Yellow Room adds a touch of elegance and charm to the dining experience. It's no wonder that Native has become a go-to destination for those seeking bespoke and decadent dinners.

In addition to their exceptional food, Native also boasts a wonderful garden, restaurant, and fashion store. This creates an inviting atmosphere where guests can relax and enjoy their time at the restaurant.

What sets Native apart from other restaurants is their stellar team. They are currently hiring for all positions in both the front of house and kitchen teams. With flexible hours and brilliant perks, it's an exciting time to be part of the Native team.
