Right now we're loving big colourful traybake of roast chicken thighs, sea bream fillets or summer squash with both fresh and slow roasted Isle of Wight tomatoes, served on a bed of romesco sauce, crumbled feta on top, and focaccia for dipping. Delicious!

The perfect start to Bank Holiday Monday (well, any Monday!). 🥐 The sun is out, the coffee machine is dialled in, and the .john.restaurant pastries are looking especially flakey and gorgeous this morning.
Hot sausage rolls and freshly made deli sandwiches are coming out the kitchen as we speak, the wine shelves are stacked, the cheese fridge full, our pantry is a veritable emporium of all the finest canned and jarred goods, and we've got beautiful British and seasonal fruit and veg bursting out our doors. So come and treat yourself to some tasty bits and pieces to make your day off just that bit more delicious!

Salsa criolla lambchetta & flamebasted flatbread recipe from legend and live fire chef Chris Roberts aka 🔥 What an ingenious way to prepare and serve saddle of lamb in the Italian style of porchetta whilst making the most of BBQ season! 🎉
Although we often think of “spring lamb”, summer may in fact be a better time to enjoy T&G’s native-breed grass-fed lamb as we all know it takes a while for the good weather (and therefore the lush grass!) to arrive here in the UK, so waiting a little longer results in animals that have fed on richer pastures and therefore yield more flavoursome meat.
Chris uses the extra lamb fat to baste the hot flatbreads, and the surprisingly straightforward charred salsa criolla stuffing and homemade garlic mayo ensure every mouthful is turbo-charged with flavour.
