It’s hard to explain what sadness feels like when you’re running on fumes, somewhere close to burnout. It’s hard to take a moment to breathe when you’re functioning at a speed faster than light, because you can’t stop. Because what if I fall apart if I stop? What if I become something less than stardust?
If.
If.
If.
So many ifs.
You’ve probably seen me here with headphones on, flour smeared on my cheeks and my hair a little messy. You’ve seen the days I smiled, and the days I almost cried. I pour my soul into cakes and I call you love, because my job is to make sure that for a second or two, you feel loved.
The last few weeks tested me in ways I wasn’t sure I would survive. Maybe in some ways I didn’t. Maybe in some ways I became the version of myself I was meant to be after touching the bottom and learning to live and love again.
Today feels like a day for great battles, for memories that taste like coffee, and second chances made of stardust.
I wrote a poem last night about feeling alive. I hope you do too today.
Love,
K ✨

I’ve been quieter on here.
February has been a bit tougher than I expected.
But I’m still here. Mostly covered in flour, baking, singing to myself in the kitchen, dancing to Florence whenever I can, trying to find moments that feel like me again.
Not every day is easy. They’ve been tough.
The cold and the rain definitely did their part, but we’re still here, trying to laugh our way through it.
The sun today felt like a small reset.
Finally, some light. It feels like a small win.
This is February, in few pictures.
Slow and gentle.

I think I’ve realised something about myself: when things get too loud inside, I make things. I always have.
When I’m sad, when my head starts to spiral, when everything feels a bit too much, I build something with my hands.
Somewhere along the way, baking turned into more than just work. It became a way of coping. And somehow, without me really noticing, it became art too - a gentle way of translating chaos into something warm and real and shareable.
These past weeks, it’s saved my mind from a total spiral. From feeling too overwhelmed. From getting too lost.
This counter isn’t just cake. It’s moods, long days, rage, sadness, quiet battles with my own head, and a stubborn attempt at softness.
This place holds more than food. We are more than that.
Anyway, I’m on a journey toward the most delicious and outrageous flavours.
Welcome. It’s going to be a wild ride.

What people say
Wynwood Art District is not just your average coffee shop. Located in Walthamstow E17, this hidden gem offers more than just coffee and tea. With its cool vibes and welcoming atmosphere, it's the perfect spot to grab a pick-me-up cup in the middle of the day. The flat white is a must-try, with its velvety and shiny microfoam that perfectly balances the espresso flavor. And if you're looking for something refreshing, their iced matcha latte is a great choice. But it's not just about the drinks - all of their food, cookies, and cakes are freshly made with love on-site. And if you're gluten-free, they have options for you too! On Sundays, they serve just toasts, cakes, and drinks - perfect for a lazy day. Rain or shine, Wynwood Art District is always open to serve you their super yummy iced lattes and new dishes like the Fiery Prawn Summer Salad from their spring/summer menu. So why not stop by and enjoy some good food and great company?
