Just over one week until Detroit hip-hop royalty and brother of J Dilla, Illa J, lands in Brixton!
In anticipation for the show we took a look back at the timeless Yancey Boys project, produced by Illa J and built entirely around unreleased, vault-held beats that J Dilla created between 1995 and 1998.
More than just a project, this was a deeply personal familial tribute that introduced some timeless classics to the genre.
