Last weekend for the soft serve, so every topping’s on the house. Espresso, matcha, chai, strawberry, choccy powder, choc syrup. Which one’s yours?
Battersea Beat | Local News & Culture started putting a shot of matcha over the soft serve, and it’s turned into its own thing now - a matchagatto. Worth trying before the machine goes quiet for the season.
The soft serve itself is made with oat milk from Minor Figures and available every day from 10am, District Battersea Park, while the stock last.

Something’s waiting on the tables this morning that isn’t on the brunch menu. We’ve teamed up with author Leodora Darlington ( Leodora | Writer 📚 ) to give away her new book - The Exes - exactly fifty copies between District Battersea Park and District Nine Elms.
Leodora has quickly established herself as one of the UK’s most exciting literary voices. She was recently shortlisted for the McDermid Debut Award 2026 and The Exes was selected as a Good Morning America Book Club pick. The book follows Natalie, who meticulously chose her new husband, James, believing he’s the perfect man, while desperately hoping he won’t wind up dead like her three previous ex-boyfriends.
Take a copy home, it’s yours to keep or leave it for the next person. At each site, one copy is hiding something better than a plot twist: a District brunch-for-two voucher, tucked inside and waiting to be found. Don’t forget to tag us in your find!

New on brunch from Monday the 6th, and it’s staying: smashed peas and The Estate Dairy cottage cheese on Layers Bakery sourdough, with balsamic roasted tomatoes and a sprinkle of nigella seeds.
The cottage cheese is what makes it. It comes from our friends at The Estate Dairy, a family-run B Corp in Cheshire.
Pots of the cottage cheese are in the fridge at every District too, so if the spoonful on your plate leaves you wanting more, one can come home with you.

What people say
District, located on Parsons Green Lane in London, is a coffee shop and restaurant that has been making waves on social media. With their mouth-watering food offerings and delicious coffee, it's no wonder why people keep coming back for more. Their Avo toast is a lunchtime classic that is sure to satisfy any craving, while their Buckwheat Waffles are the perfect way to start your weekend off right. And let's not forget about their coffee - with a Head of Coffee who has worked magic behind the Nine Elms machine for the past 3 and a half years, you know you're in good hands. The staff at District are like family, as evidenced by their recent social media post bidding farewell to their Head of Coffee. But fear not - they'll still be serving up delicious drinks and food even after he leaves. So if you're looking for a cozy spot to grab some brunch or just need a caffeine fix, head over to District Mayfair and see what all the fuss is about!
