The Mediterranean is a hot bed for grape varieties that are some of the most popular at the moment. However, those varieties are also not just grown in those home countries, they are embraced also in countries on the other side of the globe. Grapes like Macabeo, Monastrell and Syrah and wines from well known regions and from places like Lebanon as well. Come along for a grape adventure ...

WINE OF THE WEEK!
Dandelion Enchanted Garden of the Eden Valley Riesling
(An International Women’s Day Edition)
Elena Brooks is the winemaker for the always excellent Dandelion Vineyards wines that she and her husband own in South Australia. The Enchanted Garden of Eden Valley Riesling is made purely from fruit from that Eden Valley. That cooler climate region that sits between the Barossa Valley, Adelaide Hills and the city of Adelaide. Eden Valley produces fine rieslings and they are especially known to have a very pretty floral note. Not only that, but the vineyard itself was planted in 1910 so these vines have seen many years and produce very fragrant and complex wines.
The Dandelion Riesling is one of Australia’s specialities - a bone dry Riesling with the concentration to deliver a fruity wine experience. It is spicily floral with a citrus and apple fruitiness. Of course, it has a fresh acid to remind you that it is Riesling.
This is another of our wines that you don’t have to have food with. It is a great wine to enjoy on its own. If you do want to match food with it, then salt and pepper squid or other seafood, a salad with fresh cheese or chicken is a good start.
In store now at CHAT, Lot 20 Claygate & Lot 96 Thames Ditton. At the near you. Don't forget, you can sit at one of our tables and enjoy your bottle for just £5 corkage for wine, or for £2 for bottled beer or £1 for a can of beer. Why not meet up at CHAT?
Cheers.
