The Low Line are back at The Greyhound this October 🪕
The duo formed in 2024 to explore music traditional to the Appalachian mountains, centring their music around fretless banjo and viola in special low tunings. Expect hypnotic reels, haunting ballads and harmony vocals.
They were brilliant when they were here in June and we're excited to have them back!

"Pubs like this are a gem." - John Lewis is back at The Greyhound this Saturday, August 29th.
A true staple of the rockabilly scene with 130+ songs released, John’s bringing his blend of roots, country, and blues. Expect the same vibe as his last gig here with plenty of dancing and singing along.
It's all part of our Bank Holiday weekend, complete with a BBQ on the go and live music throughout the day 🍻

Djammy Dodgers are back 🎸
We're excited to welcome Djammy Dodgers back to The Greyhound after their last gig here in July!
They play proper gypsy jazz inspired by Django Reinhardt, but with a brilliant flutey twist. Lush, swinging tunes that are expressive, danceable, and a lot of fun.

We’re putting as much care into the music as we are the grill. Here’s who’ll be supplying the sounds in the garden:
🎸 John Lewis - A true legend of the rockabilly and roots scene. With decades of experience touring the world, John brings an electrifying, life-soaked performance you won't want to miss.
🎤 Hesta Banks - Bristol’s own singer-songwriter bringing bright, warm vocals and reflective, multi-genre songwriting (fresh off BBC Radio play for her debut record).
🪕 Joe Strouzer - Driving resonator guitar, true harmonica voodoo, and Mississippi-delta-inspired blues honed everywhere from New Orleans to Glastonbury (and praised by BBC Radio 2’s Cerys Matthews).

The Stone Jars - Live at the Greyhound 🎸
The East Bristol Hill Chapel Blues band returns to The Greyhound where you can expect raw, hypnotic, single-chord trance blues bridging Mississippi juke joints and West African desert rhythms.
Featuring Yos David delivering half-sermon, half-spell vocals, Slide Hambidge on mesmeric resonator and bottleneck guitar, Barn layering psychedelic drone on portable harmonium, and Dan 'The Professor' Hunt holding down the deep, earthy beats.
