The best way to learn a language is by speaking it! That attention seeking owl will only get you so far... 👀👀
We are running weekly language exchanges to help people get together and gain confidence in their target language and help native speakers find each other to find more people to converse with in their mother tongue.
All levels are welcome, so that no matter your experience, you can feel comfortable with the most important element of language learning: communicating!
£5 admission covers your drink and toastie or slice of cake because every good conversation needs a nice cuppa!

Sometimes the café critters need to get involved in promoting our loose leaf teas 👻
I loved picking fruity teas for the summer 🌞 The apricot and Peach iced tea was my personal favourite 🍑
But I absolutely love returning to the spicy autumnal blends 🍂 apple & cinnamon is quite possibly my favourite. When customers order it, it fills the whole café with its cosy aroma 🥰
Last month, we welcomed cosy season with Spice Rooibos...what's amazing about the rooibos blends is that they can even convert rooibos haters! (Such as myself 😅)
This month's tea is an aromatic Halloween Chai 🎃 will you come down to try it?

This afternoon will be open to Italian, Spanish, and English speakers and learners. Don't be shy about your abilities in your target language! Everyone is coming just to practice and have fun. The best way to learn is through conversation, after all!

We spent ours in the throes of cooking up some delicious food and chopping tons of cheese for an event 👩🏾🍳
As always, when we're in the thick of it, I can never get any decent content! (Most business owners can relate, I'm sure 🫠) but I did manage to get a few half decent photos here and there to prove to you guys that we do indeed actually do catering 😅😅

I've never been a big coffee drinker, therefore we decided to make the café a haven for others who aren't coffee enthusiasts.
Although our drinks menu offers plenty of unique and unusual teas, it also offers barley cup: a coffee substitute that's very beloved in Italy, and how I would often start the day as a child.
Barley cup, as the name suggests, is a cereal drink made from barley, rye, and chicory (and is even a source of fibre!). No caffeine, no jitters, no dehydration or irritation and yet you can enjoy it just like you would your morning coffee! With or without milk and sugar, alongside your breakfast, sweet treat, or just on its own 😌
I personally love its earthy aroma and the light, creamy layer of foam that forms as soon as it's made. I'm biased of course but i would choose it over coffee any day of the week!
