We're totally stoked to announce that we have some new blood on our board...

We'd like you to meet our new directors: Robert Kuchinski and Elicia Moses.

Rob is an old friend to Home Kitchen, and regular supporter and volunteer to Soup Kitchen London - it was Rob who got our first fundraising campaign off the ground back in 2021 when he was running Zurich Insurance in the UK. Rob and his wife Jackie were our first ever donors and we wouldn't have been able to get our venture off the ground without their early day efforts and energy.

Elicia is an exciting addition to our board. She's a business consultant advising on strategy, commercial and marketing, financing, risk management, and contract negotiation for developers, customers, and investors, and she has proved hugely adept at raising capital to get new start ups off ground. While Elicia has specialised in the energy sector she has a passion for giving back and is excited to transfer her skill sets to help us expand our mission; to change public perceptions of homelessness people.

Both Rob and Elicia have joined to help secure our position as a start up in difficult times for the catering and hospitality sector...

And to grow our mission to help more homeless people back into work while giving our customers a stand out dining experience.

Welcome aboard Rob and Elicia - we're looking forwards to doing great things together.

More big news to follow soon.

Meanwhile, if you're interested to know more about what we do - then please dine with us!

Hopefully this will be the first of many such congratulatory posts...

Everyone at Home Kitchen would like to wish Liam Ormes the best of luck and many congratulations as he moves on from his job in our kitchen...

Liam was amongst our first cohort of hopeful recruits who started work with us in August of last year.

This week Liam starts a new full-time job - joining Michelin Star winning chef, none other than Mr Adam Simmonds, in his fabulous new(ish) venture: Voyage and The Megaro Hotel Kings Cross St Pancras, London

Liam has been an absolute star in the kitchen and has what it takes to be a supremely talented chef. With Adam's guidance he is sure to achieve greatness in the kitchen.

Good luck Liam. We will miss you.

Soup of the day!

It's not normally something any restaurant leads with to sell its wares.

But our kitchen brigade at Home Kitchen: The Social Impact Restaurant have been learning how to lovingly craft a humble bowl of soup.

And feast your eyes.

It's a thing of beauty - and its Broccoli if you're interested! Tastes divine too.

The link between soup and those with lived experience of homelessness, or those living in the shadow of poverty is strong - a simple dish that has so often been a lifesaver for the vulnerable and the needy.

That's why at Home Kitchen, soup means so much to us. It's a part of our backstory, our DNA, and our future...

Come and support our mission - we need you. Book here now: https://homekitchenlondon.org/ /0
