A very special visit β€οΈ
Sometimes people walk through the doors of The Friend at Hand and remind you just how many memories and stories this pub holds.
This week, we had a very special visitor who came back to see us after around 30 years, travelling over from the πΊπΈ USA.
He wanted to share something incredibly special with us β this beautiful painting of The Friend at Hand, painted by his late wife many years ago.
You can see just how much love and character she captured in the painting, and hearing how much the pub has meant to him over the years made it even more special.
After 30 years, he still remembers the pub, still loves the place and wanted to come back through our doors. β€οΈ
Itβs moments like this that remind us that a pub is so much more than four walls, a bar and a few tables. Itβs the memories, friendships and people that make a place what it is.
Thank you for coming back to see us and for sharing such a beautiful piece of The Friend at Handβs history with us. π»π
