How has it been 1 year already! 😭😭 time really flies when you're busy rebuilding a cat cafe. 😸

Meet Silvius!
We've mentioned Silvius in a couple other introduction posts before. He's such good friends with Poirot & Baloo, it's hard not to mention Silvius when writing about them. 😺
Silvius came to us a scared 15 week kitten who was considered semi-feral. He was found with his litter-mates in a shed and taken to the sanctuary where we adopted Baloo. His first days with us, he barely moved or let us near him; we weren't sure if he'd be one to ever make it into the cafe.
We took everything very slowly and at his pace. We asked a home vet to come and complete his vaccination course as it wasn't fair on him to be moving him back and forth from our usual vet practice.
He arrived at a similar time to Poirot so they ended up in our isolation room together. Poirot was pivotal in helping us socialise Silvius and showing him it was okay to trust us.
Silvius showed us that the key to his heart was playtime, patience and Poirot (any cats for that matter, he loves them all). This love for other cats inspired his name, Silvius, named after the love-struck shepherd in As You Like It. 😻😻😻
His favourite toys include feather & worms and will often be found chasing them if not playing with Baloo & Poirot.

He can still be a little shy of physical human affection but is growing in confidence for pets and cuddles from people. Playtime for Silvius is top of his priorities and if he approaches you for pets, then that's a bonus 😽

It’s been a busy week at The Cat Emporium! The cat distribution system is working it’s magic, having started the week with 6 cats we are heading into the weekend with 12 🙀

Meet Poirot, our 4-month-old kitten 🔎
Named for that very distinguished moustache 🥸
Found as a palm sized fluffball in an abandoned building by a firefighter, Poirot made his way to us via the same vet as Prince (thanks Martina 😉).
He’s wasted no time making himself known, meowing for attention, purring for cuddles, all from his playpen 🛝
While waiting for his vaccinations, Poirot has been helping us socialise a shy semi-feral kitten. (That little one will get their own into soon 🥰)
Now he’s meeting the big cats and our guests, charming everyone in sight. He loves chasing springs, batting felt balls, and befriending Baloo 🐈⬛
Safe to say, Poirot is quickly becoming the cafés tiniest celebrity ❤️

Introducing Baloo 🐻 the first cat to join LD 2.0’s Starter Clowder!
Baloo is a slinky, springy one year old boy who loves nothing more than cuddles and playtime, whether it’s with humans or other cats. 🐈⬛ He’s already giving Prince a run for his money as the most active cat in the café.
We discovered Baloo at an animal sanctuary just outside London. He had recently been surrendered by a family who could no longer care for him. He was straight in for cuddles which made it was clear from the very first moment that he’d make a perfect café cat. 😸
Fun fact: we were actually there to collect another cat…more on him later! 🐾
