Stockwell Continental was a popular Italian cafe bar restaurant located on South Lambeth Road that served delicious and authentic continental cuisine. The restaurant's menu boasted of mouth-watering wood-fired pizzas, amazing pasta dishes, and an array of appetizers, salads, and desserts that left guests craving for more. The staff was friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere for diners. Unfortunately, this restaurant has been permanently closed.

Hello Stockwell,

The rumours are sadly true. Sunday lunch will be our last service.

We’ve had four and a half eventful years, but it is the right time to end Stockwell Continental on a high.

For personal reasons, I have come to a difficult decision to shelve a brilliant business during its prime.
If I could have told you sooner, I would have but this process hasn’t been easy and it is all rather complicated.

Thank you for your custom and loyal support. Especially during the lockdowns when the team worked tirelessly to reinvent the business, and keep going.

The staff have made this business incredible and unique, and I’m eternally grateful that they wanted to stay until the very end.
Give them a smile, say thanks and maybe stick a little cash in the tip jar.

They are amazing and they all deserve it.

There will be an exiting new Venezuelan restaurant, Arepa & co, opening very soon.

I’ll still be selling melty cheese in the form of the toasties, over the road at The Canton Arms.
