Before our doors open and the city wakes…
The coffee machine hums, cups warmed, chairs straightened, lights glowing softly against the glass. Outside, early commuters pass by from the Meadows and through the windows, they can see us preparing for the day. This morning, the sky was a beautiful pink. Sunlight slowly poured in, deepening the greens of the trees and filling the space with life.
Warm buns and cakes arrive straight from our bakery along the road, still carrying the heat of the ovens. One by one, the display fills to the brim - cardamom buns, sourdough loaves and traditional Swedish cakes, all ready for the day ahead.
Early mornings at Söderberg The Meadows are some of our favourite moments. Our team come together over this quiet ritual - measuring coffee, stacking pastries, watching the sunrise. By the time the doors open, everything is in place, ready to welcome our first visitors of the day.

A great weekend for the bakery at the Scottish Bread Championships!
Söderberg fans know we only bake the best - so we entered our much-loved Cardamom Buns… and they won gold!
Head baker and the team at Söderberg brought home not just one gold, but:
🥇 Gold: Croissant, Cardamom Bun, Swedish Farmer
🥈 Silver: Baguette
🥉 Bronze: Coarse Rye, Danish Rye, Levain
Skill, patience and a lot of flour… We couldn’t be prouder of our bakers - they’ve earned every bit of it!

For those traveling by public transport, the closest Underground station is Oxford Circus (Central, Bakerloo and Victoria lines), which is just a few minutes' walk away. Alternatively, you can take a bus to nearest stop Wardour Street Chinatown (Routes 14, 19, and 38).
If you are driving, there is no parking directly outside the restaurant. However, there are several pay-and-display car parks nearby such as Q-Park Chinatown Car Park at Newport Place, Westminster City Council Brewer Street Car park and NCP - Poland Street. It's best to plan your route to avoid busy times and possible congestion charges in the area.
