The next few weeks are going to look a little different.
If you notice we’re posting less often, don’t worry, we’re still here. ❤️
August is traditionally a quieter month in the City, so we’re taking the opportunity to slow down, catch our breath and reorganise. Sometimes the most important work happens behind the scenes.
Throughout August we’ll be open with reduced hours:
🕖 Monday–Thursday: 7:00am – 3:00pm
🕗 Friday: 8:00am – 2:00pm
This time will allow us to reflect, plan and make sure we’re taking the right steps for the future.
Two years ago, when Magdalene first opened its doors, very few people would have believed we’d get this far. If I’m honest, there were days when I wasn’t sure either. But here we are, standing at what feels like the beginning of something much bigger.
The first half of this year has been transformative. We secured a new lease for our home at Broadgate, completed a full refurbishment and we’re now preparing for the biggest milestone in our journey yet.
We’re incredibly proud to share that we’ve secured a 10-year lease for our second home at 125 Old Broad Street.
A second site felt unimaginable just a year ago.
Growing from one restaurant to two will bring challenges, excitement, plenty of learning and endless opportunities. Our new home will be an even stronger expression of what Magdalene stands for: food beyond labels, trends and cultural boundaries.
Over the past two years we’ve learnt that when food is taken back to its essence, made with honesty, creativity and care it speaks a language everyone understands. Good food doesn’t need barriers. It can be nutritious, exciting, fun and accessible to everyone.
We’re incredibly excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait to welcome you into our second home this autumn.
For now, I’d simply like to say thank you.
To every member of the Magdalene team, thank you for believing in this vision and working so hard every single day.
To every customer who has supported us, whether you came yesterday, today or you have been with us since day one, thank you for making this possible.
Bear with us while we prepare for our next chapter. The best is
