Ever-spicey UJC Head Chef Marcin and his team are cooking up some real treats in celebration of National Curry Week, providing Members and guests with on theme daily indulgences for breakfast, and in the restaurant and bar. Look out for Sabudana Khichdi and Poha, Kathi Rolls and Lamb Kheema, Aloo Palak, and Fish Amritsari – and there are a range of puddings too – Rasmalai, Phirni, and Carrot Halwa - delicious! A message to our Members and friends - Rear Admiral Jude Terry CB OBE appointed to Senior Union Jack Club Leadership Role.

The President of the Union Jack Club, Vice Admiral Sir David Steel KBE KStJ DL, on behalf of the UJC's Governing Council, is pleased to announce that Rear Admiral Jude Terry CB OBE will assume the new role of Club Director in January 2027 upon the retirement of the current Chief Executive Officer, Colonel Hugh Player.

Rear Admiral Terry will join the highly successful London Armed Forces Club and Charity following a long and distinguished career in the Royal Navy. As Club Director, she will provide strategic leadership of the Club and advice to the Governing Council, ensuring that the UJC remains highly connected and relevant to its enlisted serving personnel and veteran communities.

Management of the day-to-day operations of the Club’s extensive hospitality provision will be delegated to the Chief Operating Officer, Mr Neal Goldsmith, and the Senior Management Team.

Sir David said: “Rear Admiral Terry’s appointment as Club Director follows a rigorous selection process, supported by external recruitment consultants, and I am delighted that she will lead the Club through the next stage of its development, building on the significant improvements Hugh has delivered during his four-and-a-half-year tenure as CEO.

“The Council and I very much look forward to working with Jude, and I am confident that she will ensure that the Club continues to be highly regarded and valued by our members, while developing and delivering on our unmatched potential as a charity in the service of current and future serving enlisted personnel, veterans, and their guests.”

Alternatively, you can take a bus to the Waterloo Road (Stop G) and then walk for about 5 minutes. If you are driving, there are several car parks nearby including the National Theatre Car Park and the APCOA Cornwall Road Car Park. Please note that parking in central London can be expensive and spaces may be limited.
