Why is Birra Salento so special?

Because behind every pint is a story of passion, determination and innovation.

In a region famous around the world for its wine, the founders of Birra Salento had a bold vision: to cultivate Californian hops in the heart of Puglia and create exceptional craft beer.

It wasn’t easy.

They faced scepticism and resistance from those who believed it couldn’t be done. But through perseverance and a commitment to quality, they proved otherwise.

Today, Birra Salento is not only one of Southern Italy’s leading craft breweries, but it has also inspired and given confidence to other independent brewers to follow the same path.

That’s why we’re so proud to bring Birra Salento to The Station House.

It’s more than a great beer—it’s a beer with a story, a passion and a place.

🍺 From Puglia to Acton, we’re proud to share a true taste of Southern Italy with our community.

Stay tuned as we continue our journey behind the scenes at Birra Salento.

First things first… it all starts with the ingredients.

Every great craft beer begins with exceptional hops.

Traditionally, these California hops weren’t grown in Salento. Today, Birra Salento is proud to be the only brewery cultivating them locally, creating something truly unique to the region.

Alongside their own hop fields, they continue to work with communities that grow California hops, supporting local producers while maintaining the quality and character that define every beer they brew.

It’s a brilliant blend of innovation, tradition and collaboration—one of the many reasons we were excited to learn their story.

Next stop… seeing how these ingredients become great craft beer. 🍺
