As Halloween approaches, its almost time to start planning all the festive bookings coming up this winter. Our refurbished restaurant area is eager to welcome you all, and our new dining room upstairs is ready for any and all events coming up!

Its now been two weeks without your favourite pub, but we are hard at work refreshing and enhancing the building. Our taps are being replaced to keep the b**r cold all the way to the glass and the upstairs area will be there for all events and Christmas parties!

We are excited to announce a new feature of our reopening menu: Sunday Roast, with all the bells and whistles. Join us on the 15th of november to be the first to try after our refurbishment is over!

The refurbishment is now well underway. Most of the upholstery has been removed and space is being created for our new upstairs area. Private events and parties coming soon!

After a busy final day and a thorough clean up we have closed for our long awaited face-lift. Our doors will reopen on the 12th of November to welcome you back warmly as the days get colder. See you soon!

The Prince Albert has been part of Notting Hill for over 150 years, most likely since the wedding of Queen Victoria of England and Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha in 1840. James Weller Ladbroke, the then owner of the Ladbroke Estate, had signed an agreement in 1840 with a builder, William Chadwick, for the development of the area around the intersection of Ladbroke Road and Kensington Park Road, and Chadwick began by building a public house, so as to profit from their workmen spending their wages at the pub.
It began as a public house and hotel and a very convenient brewery opened in the 1850s, possibly in the same ownership. Censuses show some staff lived in the hotel and the brewers lived in the mews behind the double doors which are now the garden's back exit. The mews was eventually turned into a local library after plans to turn it into a theater fell through.
The 1950s redevelopment of Notting Hill Gate saw both Bulmer Mews and Bulmer Place transform into the layout we see today. In the meantime however, there were many attempts to replace the stables and flats within the mews, firstly the aforementioned library, followed by a garden center until 1984 when the previous owner sold the mews and the current flats were built.

To reach Pembridge Road, you can take public transport by getting off at Notting Hill Gate Station, which is served by the Central, Circle, and District lines. From there, walk uphill along Notting Hill Gate towards Pembridge Road. Alternatively, you can drive and park at nearby car parks on Pembridge Road or at the multi-story car park on Kensington Church Street.
