Summer’s end is in sight, but fear not - a joyous new ritual is here to add to your end of day.

Every day now at The Buxton, we’ll be uncorking a different bottle to serve by the glass for that day only. One bottle, one day, and when it’s gone it’s gone.

Isn’t a day improved with a touch of the ephemeral? The joy of wine is in the drinking, the discovery of a new gem at the hands of a passionate cupbearer, and we’ve got bottles we love that we’ve been waiting to share with you.

We’re starting with this wine from Stocco, imported by Passione Vino. 100% Pinot Nero from Friuli-Venezia Giulia, this wine is clean, stainless‑steel aged and offers bright red fruit and versatility.

A perfect one-glass choice to enjoy in a solitary moment, perhaps accompanied by a cheese plate at the bar, or shared with a friend over a salacious debrief.

Find our bottle of the day in our stories, or surrender yourself to the element of surprise.

What do you do when London is on your doorstep? We’ve got you covered.

Our top choices for where to eat, drink, shop independently, imbibe culture and soak up the best of London’s spaces. Find your guide when you check in to one of our rooms.

You can’t spend all day in bed after all (but we won’t tell if you do).

POV: you stay at The Buxton this summer.

15 peaceful rooms tucked above the bustle below. A roof terrace for your use. Freshly prepared breakfast on the terrace, or perhaps some sharing plates among friends? A glass (or two) of carefully sourced natural wine. To bed.

We can’t wait to welcome you this Summer.

Thank you to the wonderful Dido from Vinyes Tortuga for braving the heat (the day after her birthday no less) to hang out with us and pour her fantastic wines.

We can’t wait to see you again, another lovely for the books.

P.S. so iconic that all their wines are named after songs. Do we need a vinyl player in the bar…?

We’re calling it. It’s an English Wine Summer.

One week wasn’t enough to celebrate all the fantastic English wines we have in our list, so we’re making our own rules and continuing to pour exciting bottles by the glass!

This week only, we’ll be pouring sophieevanss 2024 ‘Eletric Field’ (which is the perfect name for this wine). A natural white with complex and elegant notes of citrus, applied quince and elderflower. Hello July!
