Here we go again… Every year we mark International Women Day remembering how little we have to “celebrate”, and every year it feels worse than ever.
Since last year we witnessed the most powerful men being exposed in the Epstein files, which showed to the world not just how horrible men can be (we already knew that), but how clearly everything is connected, how much we’ve been lied to, and the level of impunity they’ve been granted.
We’re watching more war unfolding in front of our eyes, more racism, more oppression, more imperialism. Girls from all over the world are brainwashed, manipulated, trafficked, abused, killed, bombed by the same men that want us to believe them when they open their vile mouths.
They want us to believe we should fear and hate the oppressed, but guess whose name you won’t find in the Epstain files?
They want us to fear trans women, to fear muslim people, in name of the protection of “our” girls, but the files shows who we should really fear.
Every accusation is turning into a confession, and it is time to say ENOUGH!
No to patriarchy, no to imperialism, no to colonialism, no to zionism.
It’s time to fight, for the rights we’ve never had, and for those we take for granted and have to maintain. There’s no international women’s day without intersectional and anti-racist feminism. And there’s no feminism without fighting for the end of Patriarchy.
So here’s to an IWD of revolutionary women, from the Italian partisans, to the strong women fighting in Rojava, and the Palestinian women in resistance to zionism.
¡Basta ya!
We’re not free until we’ll all be free.
Free Palestine, until it’s backwards.
