Blythe Hill Tavern has officially been crowned Best Pub in Lewisham Borough at the Lewisham Business Awards 2026!
We couldn't be prouder to receive this incredible recognition. From the familiar faces at the bar to the new ones walking through our doors, it's our wonderful community that makes Blythe Hill Tavern what it is.
A massive thank you to everyone who voted for us, supported us and continues to make our pub such a special place.

“The best pub in the world” is quite a review. We’ll happily take it. ☘️
We asked a few familiar faces what makes The Blythe special. Guinness got plenty of love, as did our staff and the family atmosphere. But it’s the people who call us their local, adopted or otherwise, who make this pub what it is.
Come and see for yourself. Just don’t bring too many mates… one of our regulars is worried about getting a table. 😂🍻

At Blythe Hill Tavern, there’s plenty to explore behind the bar for those who enjoy a good wh***ey.
From the smooth, honeyed sweetness and gentle spice of The Irishman to the fruity notes and warming finish of West Cork, there’s something worth taking your time over.
Green Spot brings fresh orchard fruits, vanilla and a touch of spice, while Laphroaig offers something altogether different with its unmistakable smoky, peaty character.☘️

Rain, sunshine or even a bit of snow... we’re still having our Guinness in the b**r garden! 🍺☀️🌧️
Because let’s face it, when the pint is poured properly and you’re sitting in the Blythe Hill Tavern b**r garden, the weather becomes a very minor detail.
A cold Guinness, good company and a seat outside. That’s a combination we’re happy to commit to all year round. And if the British weather has other plans, we’ll simply drink a little faster. 😉

And to be fair, we can’t blame him. Once you’ve had a Guinness at Blythe, anywhere else just leaves you pulling a sour face! 😖

Halloween knowledge at the ready… Blythe Hill Tavern’s Charity Halloween Quiz Night is coming. 🎃
Join us on Monday 12th October from 7pm for a spooky night of questions, laughs and a little healthy competition, all in support of St Christopher’s Hospice.
There’s plenty to play for too, with a £50 bar tab for the winners plus a raffle draw and a £25 bar tab for second place.
Hosted by Alex The Hammer, expect Halloween themed rounds, a few curveballs and enough competitive spirit to bring out everyone’s inner quiz monster. 👻

We pour the pints. Van Dough brings the dough. A rather good arrangement if you ask us. 🍕🍺
When Van Dough pops up at Blythe Hill Tavern, there’s an extra reason to settle in. Freshly oven-baked pizzas with bubbling cheese, rich tomato sauce and beautifully blistered crusts. Worth putting your pint down for.

There is something pretty special about seeing the same faces coming through the doors year after year and we are incredibly grateful for every customer who continues to make Blythe Hill Tavern part of their routine.

To reach the pub and beer garden on Stanstead Road in London via public transport, take the train or bus to Crofton Park Station, then walk south along Brockley Grove until you reach the intersection with Stanstead Road. The pub should be visible from there.
