Lots going on today, Englands Second group match starts at 9pm this evening. As we were full for last Wednesdays game, we have an additional Big Screen (65 Inch) in the garden, so double the capacity. We will also be doing food between 7 and 8.00pm with Buy One Get One Free Burgers available. Half time football food offer also available for orders before the first Hydration Break (End of first Quarter for all the Americans & Canadians). Usual Party Football anthems and fun, Tables can be booked in advance, (a £2 per seat booking fee applies, with all funds going to "Downe Meet and Mingle"), but seats must be taken by 8.30pm, or they will be released.

This weeks Fresh fish specials from Chapmans Fishmongers, lovely cod fillet portions, grilled with Lemon and butter, some huge wild bass fillets, our honey and soy marinated salmon fillets, and a new fish for us at the Queens Head, Megrin Sole, that we will be pan frying whole in capers and lemon, served with tender stem broccoli and samphire.

It's finally here, after 6 days of Football, we start our campaign this evening at 9pm, As its Wednesday, we have Pie night from 5pm to 8pm (all pie dinners £10, including chips or mash, peas and a side of gravy), we will be having some half time food available also, "Buckets of Vindaloo (well its actually a madras)", hot dogs and French fries. So join us this evening for cinema style seating, a great atmosphere, and yes, we will be open until the end

Free Mexican and South African food for tomorrow nights World Cup launch Party confirmed as Nachos and Bunny Chow (No rabbits were harmed in this recipe). Food available from 6.30pm, but when it's gone, it's gone. Sweepstake tickets available from 6pm, £5 per ticket, with all proceeds going to the Winner £120, Runners Up £80, and third £25/ fourth place £15 teams. Followed by the first Match from 8pm.
