What an incredible evening it’s been. From the bottom of our hearts, **thank you** to everyone who has popped in, shared a kind word, raised a glass with us, or simply offered a warm smile as we’ve settled in as the new landlord and landlady of The Shoulder of Mutton.

Your support, your patience and your genuine Yorkshire welcome have meant more to us than we can say. We’ve felt truly embraced by this wonderful village, and it’s been a joy meeting so many of you already.

Seeing the pub filled with friendly faces, laughter and good conversation reminds us exactly why we took this leap — to bring people together and keep this much‑loved place at the heart of the community.

We’re excited for the journey ahead, and we can’t wait to keep serving you great food, proper pints and a warm, homely atmosphere every single day.

Thank you all for your patience during this little transition period — it means the world to us.

We’re delighted to say that **we are officially open for business from 5pm tonight**, and then **every day from 12 noon until 11pm**.

We’re excited to share that we are the new landlords of The Shoulder of Mutton, Middleton Tyas, and we can’t wait to welcome you all as we begin this new chapter for your much‑loved village pub.

Our opening night will be Friday 19th June 2026, and we’d love you to join us for an evening of good company, great food and that proper Yorkshire pub atmosphere we’re proud to bring to the heart of the village.

Our time here has been incredibly special, and we want to thank every single one of you for the great memories, laughs, and support over the past 9 years.The pub will be in great hands, and we know you will give the new landlords the same warm welcome you’ve always shown us.

To get to Middleton Tyas Lane in Richmond, there are a few different options depending on your mode of transportation. If you're taking public transport, the nearest bus stop is located on Gallowfields Trading Estate, which is about a 10-minute walk from Middleton Tyas Lane.
