Caliendo's Gelato is an award-winning gelateria, coffee shop, ice cream parlor, and gelato shop located on Kentish Town Road. Caliendo's has been named the UK Parlour of the Year in 2023 and is known for its artisan gelato and desserts. However, currently, the business is temporarily closed due to ongoing building work. They are aiming to reopen on Saturday, February 17th. Stay tuned for updates on their social media platforms for their reopening announcement and indulge in a wide range of flavors including Fior Di Latte, Raspberry Ripple, Salted Butter Caramel, Mango Sorbet, and many more! Our milk comes from a wonderful local family-run dairy farm, and we love being able to bring some of the very same beautiful fresh milk we use to make our gelato straight to the market too. From farm to gelato… and now to your fridge! 🐄❤️

Whether you’re popping by for your morning coffee and croissant, stocking up on fresh milk, or deciding that September is absolutely still gelato weather (it is 😉), we’d love to see you.

🏆 WE’RE FINALISTS FOR 6 YEARS IN A ROW! 🏆

We’re absolutely thrilled to share that TWO of our products have made it through as finalists in the Quality Food Awards, marking an amazing 6 consecutive years as finalists💫

🧡 Seabuckthorn & Orange Sorbet
Finalist in the Ice Cream & Lollies category — Our bright, zingy sorbet, packed with pure Seabuckthorn puree and an orange ripple, this has been a customer favourite for years

🍨 Fior di Latte
Finalist in the Foodservice category - The purest expression of what we do. Unhomogenised local milk & cream,slow churned traditional Italian gelato-making, with nowhere for anything to hide.

For a small independent producer like us, being recognised year after year by the longest running food awards makes us so happy.

We’ve always believed that gelato starts with exceptional ingredients and proper craftsmanship, so seeing both an adventurous sorbet AND our beautifully simple Fior di Latte reach the finals makes us incredibly proud.

One year ago, we closed the doors to our Kentish Town parlour 🍨

And what a year it’s been 💫

We still miss our regulars enormously — the familiar faces, the chats over the counter, hearing your life updates and knowing your usual order before you’d even asked

But closing one door really did open another ✅

We’ve moved into our new production unit, built some incredible new business relationships, supplied more customers across the country, scooped at more weddings, events and farmers’ markets — and survived a summer of heatwaves that kept us busier than ever! ☀️

We’ve also added more awards to the cabinet 🏆 while continuing to make gelato without compromising on the ingredients or standards we believe in

One improvement we’re especially proud of is sourcing our milk & cream directly from a local, family-run dairy farm and their own single herd 🐄 🥛

In incredibly tough times for British farmers, we are proud to that we can support a family farm. It also takes us another step towards something hugely important to us — knowing exactly where our ingredients come from and sourcing directly from farmers and producers wherever possible 🧑‍🌾

And life has changed outside Caliendo’s too…

We’ve had more precious time with family and friends and finally started our dream hobby of beekeeping — even extracting our very first honey this summer 🐝🍯

To our Kentish Town customers who continue to support us , to our wonderful new local customers and our business clients across the country — thank you ❤️

One year later, Caliendo’s looks different.

💔 We are absolutely heartbroken at the loss of Dolly Parton

It’s difficult to imagine a world without Dolly in it. Somehow, she felt like one of those people who would simply be around forever.

For us, she was far more than an incredible voice and songwriter. Dolly represented so many things we admire — hard work, determination, generosity, humour, family and never forgetting where you came from.

She built an extraordinary career while remaining unmistakably herself. No apologies. No pretence. Just enormous talent, a huge heart and plenty of rhinestones.

Her music has played in our lab, our cars and through countless long days at Caliendo’s. Today those songs will sound just a little different.

Thank you for the music, the laughter and for showing generations of women that you can be strong, successful, kind and completely yourself.

As a small family business, we pour everything into what we do. From collecting fresh unhomogenised milk from our local farm, to making every batch from scratch, refining recipes, delivering orders, serving weddings and events, and then doing it all again the next day. There isn’t a huge factory or a large team behind Caliendo’s—just a family with an obsession for making exceptional gelato 🍨

This year, over 15,000 food and drink products from more than 3,900 producers across 116 countries were entered into the Great Taste Awards and judged completely blind by hundreds of food experts.

Of the thousands of products entered:
⭐ Around 28% receive 1 Star – awarded to products that are Simply Delicious.
⭐⭐ Around 10% achieve 2 Stars – recognising products that are Outstanding.
⭐⭐⭐ Just 2% are awarded 3 Stars – reserved for products described as Exquisite and among the very best in the world.

To have all four products we entered recognised, with every single one winning an award, is an achievement we’re incredibly proud of. But to have two of them awarded the highest accolade of 3 Stars is beyond anything we could have hoped for.

These awards belong to everyone who has supported us over the years. To be awarded 3-stars is one of the highest honours in the food world, reserved for products judged to be truly extraordinary. To receive two 3-star awards in the same year is something we’re immensely proud of!

Our Bronte Pistachio is made using pistachios handpicked from the slopes of Mount Etna, while our Belgian Chocolate showcases the depth and intensity of exceptional cocoa. Alongside them, our Fior di Latte and Stracciatella have also been recognised with 1-star awards, celebrating the beauty of our locally sourced single-herd unhomogenised milk and letting outstanding ingredients speak for themselves

THANK YOU, PALMERS GREEN! 💚

What an incredible afternoon! A huge thank you to everyone who came along yesterday and enjoyed a free scoop, courtesy of the Harry Styles Together Together tour. Seeing the smiles on so many faces was exactly what it was all about.

These opportunities don’t come around very often, but when they do, they create a wonderful butterfly effect. One small act of kindness can brighten someone’s day, spark a conversation, make a new memory, or simply send people on their way with a little more spring in their step. After all, a scoop of gelato is about far more than just dessert 🍨

In the spirit of Treat People with Kindness, we hope we spread a little joy throughout Palmers Green yesterday 🥰
