Plant led, flavour first
Our vegetarian dishes at 116 aren’t there simply to tick a box. They’re built around seasonal produce, bold flavour and the kind of thoughtful cooking that appeals whether you eat vegetarian every day or just fancy letting the vegetables take centre stage for once.

Meet our supplier, H.G. Walter.
Long before a dish reaches the table at 116, its story has already begun.
For us, that means working with suppliers who understand the value of provenance, patience and craft. H.G. Walter’s expert butchers source exceptional British meat from trusted farms, selecting and ageing each cut with the care needed to bring out its very best flavour.
It’s this shared respect for produce that makes the partnership such an important one for The Athenaeum. We know where our ingredients come from, who is behind them, and why that matters when they finally reach the plate.

The best way to experience London isn’t always to be out in it.
Sometimes it’s pressing pause.
A book. A comfortable chair. Green Park beyond the window.
The city will be waiting whenever you’re ready to return.

Getting ready should feel just as enjoyable as going out.
That’s why our Penthouse includes thoughtful touches like a Dyson Airwrap, giving you everything you need to ease into the day, or the evening ahead.
Because luxury lives in the details you didn’t have to think about.

Returning to your suite should feel like coming home, only better.
A bath already running. Paul Smith amenities within reach. The lights of Mayfair beginning to glow outside your window.
Sometimes, the most memorable part of London is the moment you step away from it.

Some menus tell you what’s on the plate. Ours tells you where summer should be spent.
This season, that looks like our terrace, something fresh from the kitchen and an afternoon that doesn’t need an end time.
