What’s next for Project Parker? After all of our existing guests have been housed, Project Parker will pivot to create rentable workspaces for upcycling🛠♻️ The workshops will enable the homeless to upcycle and sell furniture to generate an income for themselves. The upcycling centre will ensure we can continue to provide food and a safe space for the homeless as well as a meeting point for our partners. Our outreach partners help the community with universal credit applications, accommodation and extra support to get them back on their feet 👣

We’re now recruiting volunteers to help us run Project Parker, our safe village for rough sleepers. All skills and backgrounds welcome. In particular we’re looking for an electrician and plumber who can donate an hour or two of their time for a good cause.

In the meantime, we urgently need the following: 2 man tents; single inflatable mattresses; sleeping bags. If you have any of these items going spare, please drop us a message. We can arrange a no contact collection today.

We’ve changed.
Eggs & bread has always been about giving EVERYONE a good start to their day. But in these extraordinary times, while London closes and people stay at home, our focus is on our street community. They have always been a key part of E&B, but as other facilities shut up shop, we’re ramping up our efforts.
Our street community are now some of our most exposed members of society and we want to keep everyone safe as well as providing breakfast. We’ve replaced our communal seating with individual tables, and customers are asked to adhere to strict hygiene procedures and social distancing.
As society changes to protect us, unforeseen problems are created for our street community. Many existing safe havens have closed. Available bathrooms are scarce. And all at a time when many of those crashing at friends’ houses are pushed out as the pressures of quarantine takes its toll on relationships.
We’re working closely with other organisations in these challenging times, and as the landscape changes we may be calling on your help. We’ve always been a bit rubbish on social media, but we’ll update you as we go. In the meantime, we hope you’re all staying well and safe and if you’d like to help us remotely, please get in touch.
