My last cake of 2025 is this textured piece of art. It was made for an incredible young man stepping into adulthood, born on this day 18 years ago.

We are incredibly proud of you and the young man you’ve become, you are the best big brother, cousin, grandson anyone could ever ask for.

God put you in my arms tasked with taking care of you. I look forward to watching you grow even more into adulthood. I’m always going to have your back.

I almost didn’t post this because in my eyes it’s not ‘perfect’ but it is very real and taken in the moment. I’ll wait for the photographer’s pictures (will probably look much better 😊)

So as I wait for the New Year I have been thinking about the word ‘Perfect’.

Is perfection possible to achieve, will I ever be truly happy with something I make or will I constantly find a fault that only I can see.

To that end, I am relinquishing my need to get it right and ‘perfect’ every single time.
I’m going to give myself grace and acknowledge that it won’t always be but it will be very close.

God gave me a talent and next year I’m going to do what feels right and I may not post regularly but I’ll be in my kitchen doing what I love.

The way my brain works. She wanted rose gold ✅, pretty ✅ all her favourite things in it ✅ flavour ✅ something different ✅ (a lot of pointing last night 😂) trusted me. with the original art work.

I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. Added wafer paper flowers, rice paper flower and there is even crinkled wafer paper .

Go hard or go home 😊🥰

Take the train to Worcester Park station. Exit and cross over to the bus stop on the opposite side of the road. Take bus number 151 towards Wallington and get off at Green Lane Bus Stop. Walk for approximately 5 minutes until you reach your destination.

Option 2: Driving/Parking
Head north on Central Road towards The Avenue, then take a right onto The Avenue. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Dorchester Road. Keep driving until you see Green Lane on your left-hand side, then turn onto Green Lane. Drive for around 2 minutes until you see a car park on your right-hand side where you can park your vehicle. Walk for approximately 3 minutes until you reach your destination.
