The 10 Cases is a cozy and welcoming French and European restaurant located in the heart of London's theatre district. The restaurant serves lunch from 12pm - 3pm and dinner from 6pm - 11pm (last orders), Monday through Saturday (with the kitchen open all day on Fridays and Saturdays). Well bust our buttons, The 10 Cases is 15 years old today!

You remember 2011 don’t you? A royal wedding. England winning the Ashes in Australia. Colin Firth’s Oscar. That Danny Dyer tweet. Little Mix winning the X Factor. That fella in Wales bringing a pony on a train. Planking. Words With Friends. Charlie Sheen. Heady, heady days.

We opened The 10 Cases Bistrot à Vin and have spent the intervening years loving every minute on Endell Street. Above all we are grateful for the incredible team who’ve worked here over the years and continue to knock it out the park on a daily basis.

Without these exceptional people - and the many not around when we took a last minute picture, not to mention the many, much missed team members who went before - we would, of course, not be here today. Nor would we without all our much valued and loved regulars, semi-regulars, occasional visitors, and on-a-whim drop-ins. We are incredibly grateful to you all!

To celebrate those 15 years, throughout this week we’ve got a few special bottles to share. There’s a 2011 Domaine des Tours which we’ll be offering at £20.11 a glass (not exactly a giveaway, we’ll grant, but a very good price for a very special w**e), along with a splendid 15-year-old Madeira, and a particularly fun and quirky Macabeu from Domaine de Rancy. We can’t wait to celebrate with you.

Our new menu has only gone and landed this lunchtime. The gang are cooking up what is colloquially known as ‘a storm’. A storm of food. Herewith:

•⁠ ⁠Fritto misto / padrons with chilli and fennel salt / tarama on toast with pickles and sea herbs ( feat KAMIL SWIDEREK Pinot Blanc)
•⁠ ⁠⁠Duck ham, blackberries & sichuan pepper (feat Diatomists Wines manzanilla)
•⁠ ⁠⁠Pumpkins and squashes with a spiced sablé, goat cheese and sage
•⁠ ⁠⁠Jerusalem artichoke soup, truffled crème fraîche, hazelnuts (feat Daniel Fries pinot noir)
•⁠ Cod cheeks, sweetcorn puree, sweetcorn & pine nut salsa

Lovely mackerel special coming out of the kitchen today. Mackers, malt pickled sea vegetables, oyster mayo and dill.

We generally eschew ‘pairings’ - for reasons we won’t go into here - but this is pretty slamming with Treixadura from iria otero mazoy via the fine folk at Thorman Hunt. On until it ain’t.

It’s always a joy when w**e and food overlap symbiotically. In this instance we have the honey cake on our current menu that we’re finishing with incredible honey that comes from the bees that are housed in old riddling racks . It was meant to bee.

If you were wondering why we’re called the 10 Cases, it’s because when we opened the bistrot in 2011 we committed to only buying 10 cases of any w**e. Once they were gone they were gone, never to return. We’re very excited to be listing this racy number from Devon. Get it while you can.

We’re back after our Easter pause with a new menu, which includes:

- celery, kombu, sesame and soy (borrowed respectfully from - off piste for us but we’re into it)
- ⁠anchoiade de croze on toast
- ⁠fritto misto of cod cheek, olive and kale
- ⁠asparagus with labneh, wild garlic, toasted seeds and lemon
- ⁠salad of chicken hearts, lardons and frisee lettuce
- ⁠confit skate wing with spring vegetables and parsley
- ⁠black garlic gnocchi, lion’s mane mushrooms and hazelnuts
- ⁠hake, butterbeans, rocket and parsley pesto, charcuterie crumb
- ⁠roast saddle of hogget, braised hogget breast and courgettes, salsa verde
- ⁠smoked butter new potatoes
- ⁠honey cake, creme fraiche, loads of other bee related garnishes
- ⁠chocolate delice, sea buckthorn, peanuts
