We are looking for an experienced Amharic Teacher to deliver 1-hour weekly online lessons through YouTube. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your expertise in the Amharic language and Ethiopian culture with a diverse group of students from around the world.
Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and deliver high-quality Amharic lessons tailored to students of varying ages and proficiency levels (e.g., beginners, intermediate, or advanced learners).
Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to different learning styles.
Upload pre-recorded or live lessons on YouTube (depending on the agreed format).
Focus on key areas such as grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, and conversational skills.
Maintain a professional and encouraging online teaching environment.
Requirements:
Fluency in Amharic (written and spoken).
Proven experience teaching Amharic, preferably online or to diverse groups.
Ability to create structured and effective lesson plans.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Reliable internet connection and basic tech skills for recording or streaming lessons.
Passion for teaching and helping students achieve their language goals.
Must provide an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate or equivalent criminal record check to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
